Heya, I thought I would start this thread for people who have wondered if their character concept is "munchkiny", or if it is in fact unique.

I'll start the fun off, with Taern Dreadholme.

Born into an aristocratic family, Taern was sent to a wizard's college at a very young age, mostly due to the fact that his parents could not stand having him around. As he wallowed in his depression, he found that novels, and tomes could help him escape reallity, if only for a brief period of time. He pored over manuscripts of ancient spells, all the while acing most of his classes. While he found that he could work magic from nearly any sphere that he tried, he found necromancy much easier. After graduation, he was approached by an old man, with an offer. If Taern would accept a life of reverence to the demigod Velsharoon, he would be given power beyond his wildest dreams, and a very comfortable lifestyle.

Fastforward a few years.

As a budding cleric of Velsharoon, Taern continues to practice necromancy, blending both the arcane and divine into one art. Also, he uses his arcane knowledge to create unique necromantic spells, which mimic popular spells from other spheres, and offers scrolls of these spells to his god in sacrifice.

Personality
Taern fears and respects his god, but he is in no way a zealot.
He feels that undeath is one of the most respectable phases of "life", and wishes to become undead.
Out of respect for the undead minions that follow him, he often crafts leather armor, or vestments for them.

Additionally, what alignment would you think this character is? (as a side note)

What alignment is Velsharoon? What are his domains? Which domains did Taern take?

Taern doesn't really sound evil or good, but he looks to be lawful. I'd say lawful neutral.
