Celdatari21 12-14-05, 04:37 PM	So my friends and I are starting a Dragonlance campain setting and my level progression will be 4 rogue 3 swashbuckler 12 fighter 5 invisible blade who dual wields daggers at the end of all of it. My character's story is as follows. My character is an Elf (haven't decided from what nation yet)who starts off as a thief who is friends with another Elf (my friend hasn't decieded what nation yet)who starts off as a wizard we will call his elf Kaladoor and my elf Celd . Both of the elves are best friends and Kaladoor is caught practicing darker magic than what is allowed in the elven society. This being done he is cast out with the brand of Dark Elf. After a year of Kaladoor being cast out, Celd secretly leaves his homeland in search of his friend Kaladoor. During Celd's he meets up with a caravan full of adventurers that allow him to tag along to meet up with his friend. Along the way they get ransacked by ogre's and a few of the adventurers barely escape with their lives. Celd not being that adept as a fighter Celd gets captured by the ogre's and becomes a slave. The ogre who buys him gets Celd trained as a gladiator to fight for the ogre's profit. At the same time the adventurers find Kaladoor and tell him what happened. Kaladoor training to take the test at the High Tower of Magic makes haste to finish the test in order to help his friend. After about a year Celd's "owner" makes a sketchy deal with some minotaurs who end up killing Celd's "owner" because of a deal gone bad. That being done the minotaurs take Celd and make him into thier property. The minotuars happen to be a band of pirate adventurers who take Celd along as thier slave. Thats what I have so far for my characters story which should account for why he is a fighter swashbuckler and invisible blade. Any comments or opinions on the story would be helpful. Thanks
Zach-a-tack 12-17-05, 10:07 PM	Some questions to ask about this character , they may help , may not Why does he use daggers What does his family feel of him leaving , how does he feel about leaving them Was he treated badly by his owners , maybe he hate all orges? If all his levels combined equal 24 how did Orges , and minotaurs keep him as their slave for years. he is a rouge , escape , why didn't he try. If he did why did it fail , does he have scars from failed escapes? how does he escape the minotaurs , maybe an escape , or a slave revolt. If their pirates he could be saved by the nearest city's navy , or the ship hit a storm. Is he scared of water now , or loves water. Hates ships maybe. What's his childhood like? Thats all i have rigth now , but try to find the answers to these questions and your story will be great. good luck
Celdatari21 12-20-05, 02:23 AM	Thanks for the feedback and I think this should answer those questions. This campain will be taking place after the war of the souls in dragonlance where all the elven nations become exiled. During the War a "misunderstood" sighting occurs between both the parents and my character which make both of them think that each other is dead (I think he will only have one parent not sure yet). He wont be lvl 24 starting off thats the progression I want him to go on. He might start off at lvl 3 or 4 not sure how the DM is going to run it. His childhood though he will start off as a child that is a servant of a noble house. He thinks maybe if he can get some money he may be able to pay his parents way out so they don't have to be servants anymore. He starts off as a rogue that way first. Details are a bit hazy this point on how he meets his friend probably have to do with his thievery. But anyway after the war of the souls after being exiled he has no where else to go except to seek out his already cast out friend. On the way he will be captured by the Ogres and in Dragonlance Ogres and Elves are at constant war with each other so he probably will be treated badly and already have a hatred for them before he even gets captured. Due to the fact that Ogres have a lots of big weapons and my character being an elf will have a hard time wielding those weapons decides to use the only weapon available to him daggers (his master refuses to buy him any weapons also). As for his escape.. because of all the training and stuff he gets strong enough to break out but i haven't described all the details on this yet. Anyway let me know for more opinions and thanks
