Ok ive got a deep orc paladin of Torm(Orc paragon 3/paladin 6/legendary leader 4) who is currently in the possession of alot of land (this is that same character who was once a deep ork warlord... he was *slightly* modded :P)

Now, what im wanting for this character is for him to obtain the half-celestial template(MM) then gain the Monster of Legend template (MM2). Now the rules side of this little want of mine is simple, i just tap on the templates, but i wanna make it good for the story aswell, make him work for these goals... and actually make them interesting and make sense.

Oh yeah, he wants to be the first Lawfull Good Orc deity aswell... just thought id add that in.

His background is that he and his mother were captives in the city of Tantras during the time of troubles when Torm was battling Bane. His mother knew that her and her childs life were at risk as much as every other life in the city, so just like every other adult she gave her life to Torm to aid his efforts to defeat Bane.

After the battle was won, only the children remained in the city, and it wasnt long before a group of these children found Obeck and his deceased mother in their cell. The children relised Obeck's mothers sacrafice and decided to release him.

He spent the next few years of his life in Tantras with the other children and like many of the others, became a devout follower of Torm. Although he was obviously different from the others (being the only full blooded orc in Tantras) he was never the target of bigotry and was considered an equal among the other Martyr's Progeny. His natural strength and ability to lead others meant that when he joined the Tantras city guard he quickly move up through the ranks.

After his 17th birthday an Obeck and his unit were sent out to deal with a tribe of orcs that were going to attack an outlying village. The others we a bit unsure about how he would react to the situation since he handnt seen another orc since before he arrived in Tantras, but their doubts were quickly put to rest.

The first sighting of his distant kin in years didnt deter him in the slightest. He stood courageously with his men against the orcs whom easily out-numbered them three to one. Many of his men aswell as many of the villages militia died in the small skirmishes of the first two days, though the invaders were not without serious losses.

On the 3rd day the orcs had the entire village surrounded and launched an all out attack. Obeck and his men aswell as the towns remaining militia gathered the towns folk into the villages temple of Torm as they made a defensive ring around the structure.

Numerous prayers were sent out to each member of the Triad as the orcs came rushing in. The battle was short and bloody, the defensive ring that once held over 30 defenders dwindled to just 4 whom now stood on the steps of the temple.

Obeck, his two remaining soldiers and the last member of the towns malitia held the steps against over a dozen orcs. When each of them had thought the end had come, a blinding light engulfed the temple before fading away.

The final four were filled with vigor as they watched their numerous wounds heal themselves, and the attacked the invaders with renewed vehemance. Each was surrounded in a brilliant golden aura as they fought their way through the ranks of the orcs. In a matter of minutes the tide of the battle had turned, and Obeck was the only orc standing.

All four stayed in the village to help it rebuild before they returned to Tantras. Obeck and his two soldiers were inducted into the Paladinhood of Torm while the militiamen joined the Paladinhood of Ilmater.

Several years have passed since then, and Obeck is now on a crusade to prove that his race can be redeemed. He leads a large force of like-minded orcs each of whom were hand-picked by Obeck himself. He has finally settled down in Agroland where he has been given a small fifedom to look after.

So basically thats the character so far, he's gotta look after this land and all its people while gaining these damn templates. For the half celestial im thinking that his father was actually some sort of angel, and that the *strange magics* in the underdark caused him to become a full blooded deep orc (weak i know).

While with the monster of ledgend im thinking that he will have heard about some sort of temple in some sort of... uber dangerous land where individuals can undergo a test to prove themselves to become better.

As you can see ive kinda run outta ideas here so im needing a bit of help, any would be appreciated.

Also, any comments on his background so far would be great aswell.

Chiers in advance.

An interesting conundrum in need of a masters touch. Seeing as there is none of those here yet I will have a go.

How does one become a half celestial?
Option one: Have a generous deity bestow it upon you. Journey to mount celestia and press your case with the powers that reside there. They may (read will) demand a quest or sacrifice you but that is the simplest way to roleplay it I believe.

Option two: Convince a minor celestial, lantern archon seems best to me, that the greatest good can be achieved by merging completely with you. For this to work as a lawful good character you need to believe this yourself as well. You may need a holy ceremony to complete it or make it permanent but it seems viable.

Option three: Epic spell. There is little an epic spell can't do. But to get to that point you will need the aid of an epic caster. One way would to find a cleric of Torm of sufficient level (metagaming I know) and offer something that will benefit both of you but also be in line with the wishes of Torm Himself. Perhaps a great temple / barracks to train the mightiest of paladins to come. A place for good orcs to come and seek refuge. Anything like that may work depending on the DM factor.

Thats all I have now due to the mind numbing effect my work place is having on me.

Anyone else got any help for my poor deep orc paladin with dreams of god-hood?
