Derry [no surname known]
Tan, red hair, blue eyes, around 5'3" tall, 19, acts like 9, wears brightly colored robing, has a backpack full of gears and springs and all manner of mechanical devices and only a single ring with a bright red pebble in it, looks cheap. Her hair goes past her shoulders, she smells of fruit, as she eats a lot of it, nearly constantly. She sleeps odd hours, pretty much napping almost at random, never fully sleeping 8 hours a night. Her parents died but she doesn't acknowledge it, in fact she doesn't even 'remember' as she's repressed the memory.

Hello! I'm Derry the Cherry, hehe, and if you need some excitement in your life, sign me up for your adventures! I come from the poor side of town, but I'm a good cook, I can clean nearly anything, and uhh... oh yeah, I can take apart pretty much anything!
Traps, gizmos, doors, windows, they're all just fun to me. I like to see how completely I can take things apart, I have a pack full of parts, some of them might be useful later on, hehe. All the guys like to look at me, but hey, I don't mind, and they're always so giving. I just wonder why they yell at me after I run out to get dinner. I asked for a handout, and they give me a few gold pieces, they're so generous. Of course, some people aren't so generous, but nobody ever misses a silver or two, at least, I don't think they have.
I like cherries, apples, oranges, peaches, pears and gosh... really any kinds of fruit. Hehe, I'm not really looking for anything, the future makes me sad, so I always work on the present. Pranks are fun, and I have this ring that'll clean things and draw whatever I like, my mom used to use it all the time, it made her cooking so nice, I use it a lot. Some wizard said it was presitdigerty-doo or whatever, but all I know is, it's gotten me out of a lot of trouble. I mean, it cleaned me all up after I cut open that guy with my bare hands, but he was saying something about taking me to jail, but I don't like jail, so I hit him in the stomach... he kinda fell over and there was blood all over me, but I waved my hand over myself, the ring did it's trick and I was all clean. I had to lie to someone, and report a stabbing. They gave me a reward for alerting the guard about the latest crime of some serial killer, I had lots of fruit that night.
Buuut... I know I'm young, and I know I'm not good in a fight, but I can cook, clean, and I can cheer people up. Whadaya say? Can I come along on that adventure with you guys?

She's a Chaotic Neutral Rogue, only two possessions are a ring of Prestidigitation and some brightly colored robes she ties onto herself. She excels in trap finding, building, disabling and she uses improved unarmed strike to do her sneak attack damage with her bare hands.

What needs work?

Has she got a set of pom pom's anywhere?:cheer:

Seems like your usual bubble headed, teenage girl. But the fact that she has had a pretty rough upbringing makes that interesting. How is she so positive after all that shes faced? Is she going to eventually snap and let all her pent up anger out?

Interesting idea though, good work!

She regressed, and as such she never acts any more mature then she did when she was nine [the age before her parents died], as she doesn't want to admit her mother killed herself or her father was killed. If any character asks about it, she'll act as if they're still alive. Unless another character finds out about it, and approaches her with it, she'll be woefully unaware of her mother and father's death. When she finally is confronted with it, I intend to make her breakdown... interesting.

I'm sorry for bumping it up, but I have a quick question: what're the rules for sleep in D&D exactly. Considering she's not casting spells, but fatigue comes into play I'm sure. How does sleep/fatigue work?

There are no hard rules for sleep in DnD - go ask your DM.

You might want to take out the sentences where she says that her parents were killed in the introduction if she doesn't acknowledge (sp?) that. ;)

Ok, fixed that.

Also talked to my DM. I've only been playing 3 months and he doesn't trust me xD he went and MADE houserules for sleep.
