I am going with the persistant buff cleric.

I read that the Planning and Undead domains are good.

Thing is I am trying to come up with a god/ideal that would have these two domains associated with it.

Also looking to have the cleric be good or at least neutral.

THe character is from a village/town controled by an undead (Lich Vampire or other) He has set himself up as some sort of G-D/Ruler (and the clerics get spells in a round about way from the Undead's god.)

SO Lawful for laws and rules (and obeying laws set from the undead ruler.

Planning (strategy Undead ruler not into ruling or destroying the world. He has his view on how life should be and he created his little nitch. Now he is just protecting it and cultiviating it.)

Undead (The undead is not an uncommon sight. And he wants his domain and people (and himself) protected from other intelligent undead so his followers can turn undead but from training and teaching the ruler and his minions are not to be targeted.

Now the undead ruler is not a goody goody but he is not totally evil.

Any suggestions on refining this?

What world are you playing in?

If it is greyhawk you don't 'need' a god. You can create a set of ideals yourself and follow that.

Planning and Undead can go together well enough as the creation of undead takes much work on the part of a necromancer. Perhaps the you are looking at the greater picture of undeath as an option down the line, to continue your work as a cleric. Planning fits nicely in there as well, as from the very beginning you have not concerned yourself with day to day, and have been preparing for a much more distant, long term goal.
