I'm looking for help, and I'm getting rather tired of how little people know. but that's unimportant right now.

I'm having trouble getting the best idea of how to play a Dwarven Fighter/Cleric of Moradin. I've read every book on the subject short of novels and 2nd edition. The Campaign has come to the point where this one's personality is of great importance. He's a Gestalt Fighter/Cleric, Lawful Good, and has a slight touch of the exalted.

I'm hoping someone helps me

Although your race, alignment, and class choices are all helpful, I think stats play a crucial role in determining the best way to roleplay a character (particularly the mental ones.) Is your intelligence low? Then play him as dim-witted by genuinely noble and honorable. How low is your charisma? If it's below 10, play him as essentially a "jerk paladin": be so self-righteously sure of yourself that it borders on the obnoxious, but still stand for the right things, and be quick to apologize if you feel you have overstepped your bounds. How's your dexterity? Maybe (if it's high enough,) he wears chain mail and moves a copper piece across his knuckles, or (if low enough) he's accidently prone and constantly apologizing for breaking vases or valuable statues.

But, you do have some handy details:
1) You're a dwarf: Constantly ask yourself "What would the clan think?" Express a love of the underground, of great caverns and mighty stalactites and stalagmites. You're proud of your family and their exploits, go off on great detail about random heroes ofyour clan's history , whenever they cross your mind, "Why, this is like when Mighty Donugan took his father's axe and slew the Goblin Prince in the midst of battle," and so on. You're also a cleric of Moradin, so you'll definitely be pretty tradition-bound, even for a dwarf.
2) You're exalted good: Give mercy whenever it is asked for (and even if it is not, for those who can still be redeemed,) be kind and charitable at all times.
3) You're lawful: Honor your word, even if it inconveniences you. Defer to the judgement of authorities, but you are willing to speak out if you feel they're being mistreated (again, fitting in with exalted.)
4) You're a gestalt fighter/cleric: You serve your god on the field of battle, your axe is an extension of Moradin's will, never forget that and never let anyone else forget that.

You're essentially playing "Paladin Lite," so why not go the extra mile and make up a Code of Honor™ for yourself, with handy rules like?:
* Never strike a defenseless opponent.
* Always give mercy when mercy is asked for, or not foolish to give.
* Defend the defenseless, honor the dishonored, and provide to those in need.
And, make up some not-so-obvious ones:
* No gambling, smoking, or drinking
* Ritual purification after handling dead bodies
* Regular prayers before waking, sleeping, and each meal.
* Sharpen your axe every evening, to minimize the pain of your opponents. And burn incense in your helmet so your decapitated head will leave a sweet aroma for your opponent.

This isn't really a personality, exactly, but these are some ideas to take to help you make your character's personality (teach a man to fish, and all that.) There are some handy resources on this board if you want some further roleplaying advice. I hope some of this helps you with your character, you can take or not take whatever you like, I'm just trying to seed the clouds for your own little brainstorm.
