One of my major NPCs is a Sorceress with a celestial streak. Right now she is going to work with the PCs, but she could turn against them eventually... not sure yet. I'm looking for some helpful criticizm, tell me what you think and if something needs to be changed. The campaign has been decided to be a little more roleplaying based than combat based, so I'm more worried about her roleplaying aspects than her combat ability (hence why this thread isn't in CharOps), but I gave you most of her stats anyway, incase it'll help.

Alexis Sherodin
Human / Sorceress lvl 4
NG / Worships Pelor
Str 10
Dex 12
Con 12
Int 11
Wis 8
Cha 17

Feats:
Celestial Sorcerer Heratige
Skill Focus (Heal) (in my campaign, taking skill focus for a skill lets you treat that skill as though it were a class skill for you)
Improved Familiar

Skills: Concentration, Heal, Spellcraft

Spells:
0-Detect Magic / Mage Hand / Read Magic / Light / Mending / Disrupt Undead
1-Protection from Evil / Shield / Magic Missle / Sleep
2-Levitate

Familiar:
Celestial Hawk

Languages: Common, Celestial

Description: Naïve, Kind, and Friendly. She isn't very socially adept... frequently insults people without meaning to, has a lot of good intentions but bad ideas. She isn't stupid, just not very attune to other's signals and hints.

Story: Orphaned at a young age, she was taken in at a temple of Pelor and raised there by the clerics and other members of the temple. One night she overheard the head cleric talking about how he had taken her in only because he thinks she's a part in some divine prophecy in which he becomes the High Priest of Pelor. Crushed, and a little scared, she runs away. She is still devout and believes in the goodness of Pelor despite the clerics selfish deeds. But now she's on her own, and trying to find a place where she fits in. That's when she runs into the adventurers.

Purpose: I'm DMing a campaign where the group consists of a rogue, a bard, and a swashbuckler. The group really needs a full caster I got the inspiration for this character. I'm planning on introducing her by having the PCs save her from the city watch or something, and her asking to join the group (but the group's pretty desperate for another caster, so they may end up asking her). I'm not trying to be a DM-PC here, so she will only be temporary (the next 2-3 levels) and then break off from the party at some stopping point, possibly later returning as a villian (if I get lucky and can pull it off).

OK, one problem I have is the character with 17 Cha is socially inept? You could argue she instead has a lot of presence, but still.

Also, if the other's don't mind you can have your DM-PC. Just don't metagame or try to be the star.
As for why she turns against the PCs, spurred by the Bard? Seduced by a blackguard? Seduced by "power... unlimited power?"

If the party needs a full caster I'd suggest a wizard instead of a sorceror.
With his high charisma a sorceror is an exellent party face in social encounters while a wizard can be the type only interested in his books.

Radijs, you could be right. My players aren't too worried about me DM-PCing, but I tend to get carried away sometimes... and they don't need a party face or anything right now. I guess I just got the inspiration for the character and thought it would be fun to roleplay. As for the socially inept-17 Cha. conflict, yeah, she has a lot of presence. Keep in mind that she has been living a secluded life in a temple... Thanks for your help!
