He will be a human, probably start off with scout and fighter. He will have mithral breastplate, a monkey gripped greatspear (CWar), and A MITHRAL TOWERSHEILD. I know a towershield might not fit to well, but I think it may add a little bit of uniqueness to the character. He will probably be sort of a "dark knight." Not evil, but had a rough life and seems rough around the edges. Any other ideas on personality? I usually focus on builds for optimization but want to focus on the actual roleplaying aspect of the game and want a character that seems to take front stage quite a bit and have a unique personality. Side Note---does carrying a towershield stop the scout from using his skirmish ability (the armor is mithral so it is considered light, but im not sure about the shield) |

If you want a stern character, have him eat lot of radish, garlic and green onion. He will have a really bad breath. In battle, this guy should be quick and nimble, jumping high and charging where his foes less expect him to do. But out of battle, he should walk calmly and slowly. Maximize his intimidation skills, it should be his only way to deal with people. On the other hand, he should be completely befuddled before a beautiful woman, and should avoid those kinds of encounters. This is my 2 coppers... |

The tower shield won't hinder skirmish abilities, but flavor (and optimization) wise, I would have the dragoon use the spear in two hands. Gives a better "mobile fighter" feel and will allow you to take full advantage of the Power Leap feat. And Kain rocks. :) |
