| Jaxian Redleaf07-22-03, 06:20 PM | Hi! i'm going to play a drow fighter at our next session and i am trying to think out a nice background. I'm playing in the realms and i must have some brainrot or something because usually it doesn't take many seconds before i have enough background in my head to cover at least 3 pages. So now i need help i donīt know why she is at the surface because i don't want to be one of those cormanthor drow. i was thinking on some archenemy who is one the surface or maybe captured to slavery. Any suggestions are gladly taken!!! |

I don't know if that's still a valid item or not, but it allowed her to use the alignment she wanted while keeping a somewhat sinister background. I don't know if the drow in the game you are playing in trade with other surface races. If they do, you could say that the trade was an ambush and the heavy hitters of your group were killed. Thus, the spell casters who 'open the way' to the surface were wiped out leaving you as a refuge. Unable to return home & having to survive on the surface. Perhaps feeling the need for a little vengence on your betrayers. Arcane banishment is always one way. With your having to satisfy some Geas or Quest in order to return home (and not be killed). You could always take the 'you aren't who you think you are' approach. Tell your DM you want to wake up on the surface with no memories of who you are & make him figure out your back ground during play. |
| Jaxian Redleaf07-23-03, 07:33 PM | that was some great ideas Damren! I will probably choose between the "survivor" or "no memory". I was thinking in both cases to be captured to be a slave gladiator. I fight with a spiked chain!! that is a ubercool weapon!! Well here i go ranting, thanks for the ideas again Damren :D |
