Cheantoa 09-19-03, 06:33 AM	I'm going to be playing a character who is a Drow Druid, to be Oozemaster. This is, I think, already a far cry from your average joe Surface dwelling druid. They will advance as a Oozemaster ASAP, but she remains a Druid at her roots. I am thinking that she was originally being taught as part of the Drow Clergy, but the divine powers developed were different, more base, primal - druidic. As thus, she was cast out of the clergy (not killed, or cast out of Drow society). Despite not being cast out of Drow Society, being cast out of the Clergy would be sufficient embaressment for her to begin avoiding other Drow society; wandering the ways and windings of the Underdark outside of the Drow city. There she encountered things- Animals, lesser monsters who dared live close to the Drow City, and others. She found Oozes, slithering amoung groves of fungi, Caverns Carpeted in molds, and despite disdain shown by the other drow she became progressively detached from, she saw beauty in them... And so on. And eventually stopped coming back to the Drow City. I'm now wan for ideas to drive her to the surface though: Maybe the Drow Clergy decided that she was sacriligious in turning away from Lolth (she has no Deity as far as I'm concerned) and becoming a Druid linked to things such as Molds and Oozes, and rather than be caught, she fled to the surface, where she fell in with other adventurers, who befreinded her (our group). For lack of other commitments, she wanders the world with them, above and below the ground. Hmm. Any changes/corrections/additions/ideas and general feedback appreciated. I feel her background is quite shaky... Any details you can think of to fill her in would help.
Creep 09-19-03, 03:16 PM	In the Forgotten Realms campaign, there is a drow God of slime, oozes and outcasts called Ghaunadar. He is a Lesser Chaotic Evil deity worshipped by drow outcasts and cults, in secret societies within the drow community or in hidden temples in the Underdark. Drow who worship him give living sacrifices to oozes as a form of prayer. I don`t know if you`re character is evil or not, but maybe it helps.
