What's a good name for a druegar fighter?

Huzzah! Someone else is playing a Duergar!

I named mine Ragnar Greyforge.

His dad's named Beldak, and his mum's name is Olga. He had a cousin named Hilda. His great great grandad is called The Abomination (long story).

They seem to generally have the usual Dwarven-sounding names, although I'm guessing their names are generally harsher in tone. Their last names are usually work-related, or otherwise related to stealth and iron rule. Overall they're names are dark, gloomy, cruel and hard.

The Duergar as they occasionally appear in Salvatore's Drizzt books seem to follow a different rule, unless they're translated into Dwarven.

There are some examples in the FR books Underdark (3.5E) and characters in Drizzt Do'urden's Guide to the Underdark (2E). Races of Stone has a table of Dwarven name parts and entymologies.

Others from the Forgotten Realms:

Horgar Steelshadow, son of Tangardt, King of Gracklstugh
Morndin Gloomstorm, cleric of Gracklstugh

Clan that occupied Mithral Hall: Clan Bukbukken (Salvatore)

Thordek Stonebreaker:

A mining clan might be called Stonesmasher or Hardrock. A clan of smiths might be called Bloodaxe or Strongshield. A clan of assassins might be called Stonecreeper or Darkblade. A cleric of Laduguer might be called Grimheart or Mournstone.

Dwarf names are handy in that you can use them to help describe your character quite well.

So what does your grey dwarf do?

So far he's just a back-up character in case any of my players die. He's just a fighter right now, but my players will doubtless give him an interesting background and some cool motivation.

I will use one of the names you suggested, and thank you very much!

Information and feats and classes for the grey dwarves is fairly rare, but I've become fascinated by the nasty little bastards. Enjoy!
