Dwarf Reaping Mauler- Help Please [Archive] - Wizards Community

04-14-07, 10:08 PM Our DM made rules outside the book in an attempt to make it more interesting. First off, we all start at Level 5. We can pick 2 classes if we want to. We start out with a little over 9000 gold.

For my build, I originally wanted an Ogre Fighter/Monk with a Prestige of Reaping Mauler at Level 6. Our DM made it a rule +4 level adjustment max. The ogre is +6 total. Too bad for me.

I have a flurry of questions regarding this character. What should the stat hierarchy be? (Str,Dex,Con,Wis = current)

Should I get casted Enlarge Person, Greater and pay the gold for permanency?

Should I just pick a larger class or Goliath(Dwarfing atm)?

My original plan focused on the Ogre.. we have a sorc/wiz 5 to cast Enlarge Person, Greater w/ permanency. That is huge.. huge + grappling character.. wow. Would that be worth it tho?

This and any other information I am dying to know. I played my first DND game last night (i created a simple half-ogre 5/fighter&barb then w/ a glaive and great cleave). I am always looking for new very strong melee classes now. Any suggestions (even on a different build) are always appreciated. Thanks a ton!
