As stated here ( http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=1018485 ), I am creating a new character for a new campaign my DM is running in Eberron. The DM, other players, and myself all have experience with Eberron, so we're familiar with it. I wanted to make a happy-go-lucky character that doesn't take many things seriously. I'm stuck between two different classes (either sorcerer or bard), but the race will be gnome.

I posted this in the other forum, but I wanted to see what kind of Eberron jokes the Eberron forums could come up with. I'm not a funny person in real life, so I was hoping some good Eberron jokes would help me make my character a better comic-relief type. I almost always play serious characters with bad pasts and I wanted something different. Also, any suggestions on personality traits and such that could help me with this character's past/personality/quirks would be appreciated (eccentric is definitely a trait the character is going to have). Like I said I've never done something this light-hearted before so I'm on unfamiliar ground.

I'm looking for things that are corny and maybe some short sayings that sound wise but may not make sense in the given situation. A handful of people responded when it was in the other forum, so follow the link if you want to see those responses and get an idea of what I'm looking for.

Examples (without an Eberron flair):
Two muffins are in the oven.
One says to the other "God it's hot in here"
The other one replies "Oh no... It's a talking muffin"

If the cake is bad, what good is the frosting? (from a fortune cookie)

Thanks in advance for any jokes you can come up with!!

I'm not particularly funny either, but here's my mediocre suggestion:

"A 'forged juggernaut walks into a bar. The repair bills were horrendous."

Ya know, the other day I saw two changelings making faces at each other.

Shifters, the only race known to tree themselves.

I find that comic reliefs are rarely funny because of jokes but more from observing humorously.

Example:

"So, can you explain to me again why we're flying on a wooden ship kept afloat by an angry fire elemental when we could be safely walking on the ground? I'd much rather be mauled by horrid beasts than on fire plummeting to my death!"

I have every intention of observing humorously but I'd like a few jokes. I just wanted to see what people could come up with so I'd have something fun and interesting to add to and aid the roleplaying of my character. I have no intention of relying solely on the jokes.

@ Terjon: I love the shifter one. I'm definitely going to keep it if you don't mind :D
