Trying to do a character/and/or/NPC Ice Mephit...

I'd like an estimated ECL on that if possible =/

They have magic missile(Sorc-3) 1/hour, chill metal (sorc-6) 1/day, fast heal 2, +4 natural AC, Cold Subtype, breathweapon cold 1d4..

On top of that I'd like it to be tiny.

Suggestions please? =/

They also have DR 5/magic and a natural attack that does cold dmg.

For the Small version, ECL = 6 (3 HD + 3 LA)

Tiny sized will probably drop it down to 5. (3 HD + 2 LA)

Why exactly is this on the CD boards, though?

Because it's a character I'm developing?

Thanks, but I'd like some reasons to why you're rating it as such, also why does the ECL go down for making one tiny? Shouldn't it just as well go up?

I just didn't extrapolate that much background and/or roleplaying info from the post there.

Usually these boards work on the story info and the people on the CO boards crunch it for you.

The general rule of thumb is an increase in size is an increase in LA. Take any published race with the Large size, as example.

Let me quote the SRD on tiny creatures:

Tiny, Diminutive, and Fine Creatures

Very small creatures take up less than 1 square of space. This means that more than one such creature can fit into a single square. A Tiny creature typically occupies a space only 2½ feet across, so four can fit into a single square. Twenty-five Diminutive creatures or 100 Fine creatures can fit into a single square. Creatures that take up less than 1 square of space typically have a natural reach of 0 feet, meaning they can’t reach into adjacent squares. They must enter an opponent’s square to attack in melee. This provokes an attack of opportunity from the opponent. You can attack into your own square if you need to, so you can attack such creatures normally. Since they have no natural reach, they do not threaten the squares around them. You can move past them without provoking attacks of opportunity. They also can’t flank an enemy.

What this means is that you will probably be terrible in any sort of combat.
Hence my suggestion for a -1 to ECL.

If you wan't to be absolutely safe, play a small sized mephit and use the given stats.

Ah, then I misunderstood the meaning of the title, thanks.

I see your point. But imagine it being a wizard... then it would hold only advantadges for it. harder to hit and higher dex - even harder to hit.

But thanks, I'll try taking it to CO then, if any moderators are reading this, I'd like a move please?
