Elan Kineticist in Forgotten Realms [Archive] - Wizards Community

I've rolled up a Psion Elan to play in the Realms. I'm trying to come up with a background for this guy. I don't like the story from the Mind's Eye issues in regards to try to find a psychic city and free it's people etc. My DM won't work that into the game - I don't think.

So I'm trying drum up a background and I have some writer's block. He's 6th level, a personality similar to Magnetos from X-Men. He enjoys power. Though not necessarily evil. He likes to levitate when he nukes his enemies. However he is an Elan.

This is where the problem starts. What the heck is the Elan's background history. It's very vague. There personality's are alien. What does this mean?

Can someone please help me flesh him out?

07-17-07, 07:25 PM I was gonna play an Elan Seer in Eberron once. Basically the Elan transformation was a gift to help the girl (young) forget some horribly tradjedy in her past that wouldn't let her move on, sort of a memory wipe.

Who knew it'd give her nutty psionic powers!?

07-21-07, 06:54 PM Pre-Elan he was just some slave in an Illithid's lab, ends up being a test subject. The result is an Elan to all intents & purposes.

His powers have a powerful outburst, incapacitating the Illithid long enough for him to use the "emergency" well of worlds (?) and gets dumped into civilisation.
