Hiya guys,
So a friend of mine and I decided to test out this character class of an elementalist. I chose him to be water, so I associate myself with a pirate clan, so without further ado, let me introduce to you: Samuel Sharpsteel.
Samuel is actually from the water elemental plane. You see, he had an accident in his young life, and was planeshifted to the "normal" plane, thus creating a change in his body, developing a more human-like form, until eventually he completely transformed into a baby. Papa Sharpsteel, who is a head of a pirate crew, decided to take him in, considering his great potential to be a future weapon.
My question is as follows: at one point during Samuel's past, he decides to hate elves, to the point of threatening the rest of his party that he will go and sink their ships if they go to the elven lands to help them. This eventually leads to a stare-off (or should I say, elf points a composite longbow at him, while he points his finger at her) between him and another elven archer woman.
So, question for you guys: where can he be more developed? Why does he hate elves?
Good luck and thanks

The simple answer is, as always when it comes to this kind of thing, they killed someone he really cared about, maybe his father or his best friend.

Another reason could be that the hate goes both directions. He's a pirate, and he might have commited some serious crimes against the elves, and will probably get hanged if he goes there.

But the best thing would probably be mix of the two: the pirate ship raided an elven coastal town, but faced more resistance than expected. Alfrem, Samuels best friend, didn't make it back to the ship, and was captured. Samuel disguised himself and went back to town to find his friend, and got there just in time to see Alfrims execution.

Elves are renowned as wizards. Perhaps his current form and placement on the material plane are the result of a wizard's thoughtless meddling in extra-planar affairs?
