| krunchyfrogg07-30-03, 12:48 AM | I need help justifying the background of how a high-elf (standard) would become a cleric of Fharlanghn. He would be TN in alignment. how would fellow elves in turn treat a brother who doesn't follow the same faith as themselves? |
| TheDarkestOfAngels07-30-03, 04:41 PM | really, a elf following Fharlanghn could justify his faith because he a) (the beaten path) dislikes or rejects the normal elven gods b) (the path less taken) lives a nomadic life on the road and worship of ol' Fhar just seemed natural c) (Similar to b) has lived a nomadic life filled with adventure since the day he was born and took up the worship of Fhar because of this, as it suited his way of life moreso than corellon does. d) He grew up with parents whom worshiped Fhar e) He grew up with foster parents whom did actions from either b or c and worship of Fhar just came naturally f) was taken in by a church (or wagon-church) of Fharlanghn as a youth and grew into the teachings on the road How elves treat this elf would vary from elf to elf. Unless he worshiped Lloth or some other evil diety, I doubt that they would particularly care, but that's up to your DM about how accepting elves are in that particular campaign. |
