You approach every adventure with these goals in mind. Now in my group we are running a campaign with some lvl 13 chars who are in charge of a small but growing band of militant elves and who are trying remove the human presence from ancient elvin lands and establish an elvin strong hols there. Resently we have just made some 1st lvl chars to play parallel to them, that were the Necro comes in, I made the char to add some flavor to the group, but with the discription given of Necros is dosent seem like them to join an organization like that, if some one can help me with an explanation as to why he might join a group of rebel elves I would appreciate it |

| JulesCARV10-22-07, 02:01 PM | My recommendation is to ignore that line. I mean, really: you can't be a Karrnathi dread necromancer motivated by nationalism or hatred of the Thranish? You can't be a dread necromancer who lost her husband to some super-death effect and is obsessed with finding a way to bring him back? You can't be a death-dealing mercenary who slings spells for gold to spend on drugs, hookers, and bling? |

You may simply be using the allies you have at hand. If they can protect you while you grow in power you might well be willing to cast them aside (or convert them into followers in your own cause) at a later date. |

Perhaps the promise of carnage and death that the rebellion brings has wet his appetite? Maybe it is his chance to show that Necromancy isn't as evil as everyone seems to think, and can be used for the greater good (or the greater neutral as the case may be) |
