| Blastford_Underlike03-13-05, 12:21 PM | I'm joining some friends on a Monday night campaign. Wanted to bring in something totally different and something new to me. I chose a Warlock lvl 6. Here is my Characters background. Any thoughts comments? I also altered the prestige class he will be going in just slightly (which the DM allowed). --------------------------------------------------------------------------Blastford Underlike Blastford Underlike was stripped from his family at birth by Mindflayers. He was pure heart of good, thought to have been a chosen one of great evil powers that are rare among the world. The Mindflayers constructed rituals apon Blastford that most of the living could not even comprehend. They were constantly trying to drive him to the evil side. Bringing apon demons and fiends that would haunt his mind and his soul. The good inside him could not be broken. Nor could it dominate. One particular Mindflayer known as “The Nameless” was in charge of the care for Blastford. In his home was his shelter and life outside the rituals. “The Nameless” himself was also struggling between good and evil. He befriended Blastford and blocked other Mindlfayers from there thoughts while they were talking. “The Nameless” knew what the ultimate goal was Blastford’s fate. He was Blastford’s comfort through the nightmares. A ritual known as “The Reborn Spirit” was underway. Demons, Devils, and Fiends were called apon to feast at Blastford’s soul. Turn him evil and to leave there mark apon his chest. Something unknown happened. The Demons and Devils were unable to turn his soul however there seal was left marked apon his chest. Empowering him with innate abilities, known only by the Warlock’s. Something even weirder happened. The Demons and Devils that were summoned in to finish off the ritual could no longer touch Blastford. As if there seal was blocking them. The transformation to evil was so close but something blocked it. Little did they know “The Nameless” was performing his own ritual. He called apon the Heavens for an Angle to protect him and fight away the evil creatures trying to turn him. A great war took place between mindflayers and The Demons while the Devils were banished. “The Nameless” took Blastford and rushed him to the surface. Each step the Mindflayer got weaker and weaker. The summoned protection from the Angle was in fact paying a toll on himself. Finally making it to the surface he said his last thoughts to Blastford. Told him that his soul is good and his body may forever be trapped. To resist the evil inside him wanting to excape. To use his powers for a good cause and rid the world of Evil Magic. Use the dark powers against them. Finally “The Nameless” handed Blastford a book. “When you are ready read this book. It is one of the last books that can help you defeat this evil. With it you will have the mental capability of summoning and controlling Fiends. However your physical form will change, your soul can never be broken if you believe.” Blastord was handed the book “The Ritual Bonding” Blastford wondered the world. A new place for him. Night and day he wandered. He seeked out home and shelter but none looking at him were willing to even feed him. His aura was grim to the eye. Looking deeper a priest would see the struggle of good and evil within him. During daylight Blastford would appeal with a good nature. Durning night is when the struggle was inside him. He would constantly be struggling Good and Evil. He hid the book for a day better suited to perform the ritual. Sealed it in a box of lead so no one could ever find it but himself. Blastford now wander’s the world of Forgotten Realms in search of ridding evil with evil powers. (by day Blastord is Chaotic Good and by night he is Neutral Evil. The Ritual of Bondig can only take place during night where his alignment will forever remain Chaotic Neutral if he lives through it. He will be an Acolyte of the Skin.) NOTE apon Reaching 10th level Acolyte of the Skin the Damage reduction is 5/good/evil instead of 10/good. |
