The party moved silently down the corridor, all as one thinking that there was something wrong with this. They had desided that they had to research the rumors of undead in this castle, but had so far found no evidence. "Is that... music?" the rouge suddenly whispered. Everyone stopped and listened. The barbarian suddenly started humming and whispered back "Yeah, i know that song. It's a lovesong." They continued to move down the corridor, curious as to what they would find. They came to a great hall, decorated with ancient tapestries and paintings. A huge table stood in the middle of the hall and on the table they saw two persons, a man and a woman, pale as snow. They where dancing. In one corner they spotted the source of the music, some instruments that where playing all by themselves. "I've seen enough, lets go home." the fighter said, "If this is the evil undead that the rumors spoke of, someone has had to much ale". Everyone agreed and left the pair dancing. "Did you hear anything darling?" the man said, "No, i don't think so." said the woman. The liches continued dancing.

I just read in Libris Mortis, and it said that aside from a rare few exeptions, an undead's outlook remains the same for a long long time.
Which means that people who become undead when they are in love would remain in that state forever.

A lich and his/her spouse. Take the leadership feat, and make your spouse your cohort.
Then you both become liches and make your phylactery... The Wedding Rings!

Just posted to hear your opinions.

:inlove: Sounds like a very romantic prospect, if one falls, the phylactery of the other gets destroyed. 'till Undeath do us part :D

Very nice, I'm sure Evening Glory would approve :)

Now if only I could find a DM willing to have her in their world, or any book-source deities rather than making up their own silly pantheon :weep: I wanna play my NG living cleric of Evening Glory, but never get to. :allalone:

I always thought it was a good quirk for villains to be in fact two lovers, like Bonnie and Clyde. The two of them can think really selfishly, like any BBEG you would build, but there is one exception: because of their similar thinking, they see each other as a part of themselve. So they don't care if their action arm sensible beings, as long as it is profitable for their couple...

Which would be the cohort the male or the female!?

How about make their phylacetory the same object - so if it gets destroyed - both die.

I think under the circumstances they wouldn't be caring about the health of their phylactery, more like eachother.

Also, a single item can't be two phylacteries, phylacteries must be made from an object without magical properties and they cannot have additional magical properties added to them.

And, naturally, they wouldn't die from their single phylactery being destroyed, they just wouldn't come back afterwards.
