OK... the title makes it pretty clear that id like to play an evil aasimar, in an evil campaign in the evil future... (make that the regular future.)

Anyway, i was hoping to get some ideas as to what on earth would make an aasimar evil.

I was thinking something along the lines of...

An Archon and a Devil are talking about many different topics over a game if three dragon ante, and a couple of garl gurgle-blaster drinks, at the world serpent inn. The conversation eventually gets to their different bloodlines, and they civilly argue as to whos bloodline is stronger. They decide they would do an experiment/bet to settle this conflict once and for all.
They enter the grayhawk universe at night, and each takes a very young toddler; the archon takes a teifling, and the devil takes an aasimar. The teifling is taken to the elves, and the aasimar were taken to the vashran, each to be raised as a member of that race. Whichever race could overcome their upbring of opposite alignment, and be true to the internal nature, would win the bet. The aasimar loses, and is raised to be quite vile.

What do ya'll think? Im also open to other ideas as to why hed/shed (havnt decided) would be evil.

Thanks.

Evil is an interal thing so I would go would something like this.

As far back as _____ can remember he had been different. would silver hair and golden eyes S/he always stood out. S/He grew up in the small farm community of ________ the adopted child of a old widow.

Life had begain in the most horrible way imaginable. Half remembered images of blood and sounds of screaming. What happen is unclear, but s/he was found wrapped in blood soaked blankets next to side of the road.

Childhood was one constant torment after another. The older children would beat and toture him to no end. All thier igronant minds knew was that S/he was different and therefore fair game.

S/He always try to be good and do everything right, but nothing was ever enought for his/her adopted mother who had begain to become senile. Her fantical approach to the religion of _________ left no room for a child to live.
So when it wasn't the older children's fist it was her leather strap.

This contiuned on till s/he was in his teens. one day when he could take no more he grab the old woman wrist as she was bringing the strap down. Her brittle old bones snapped easily. she fall to the floor in a huddle. Instead of felling horror at what he did he fealt only relief. He looked down in disgust at the old woman who had been such a source of torment for him.

She cursed him/her and told him to leave. Her voice still held enought sway over him/her that S/he when as far as the door then he stopped. S/He look back and all the pain and angrier built up inside of him. S/he flew back to the old woman and beat her death with his/her bare fist.

From that day on s/he swore that s/he would never again suffer at the hands of others. That instead it would be others that suffer at her hands.

This allows a nice anti/social personality with a fair bit of cruilty.

a bit cliche but workable or something similar.

 ...

That is definately the type of backstory i want. So if you dont mind, i think im gonna use it. I wanted an antisocial but very power hungry character. And that would most certainly, work there.

Thanks a lot! :evillaugh

My arch-nemesis went in the other direction.

From a loving home, cherished as a greater and more noble being, favoured and showered with affection. Growing up, his every wish was catered to, and he was well-taught of his heritage as a higher being.

In deference to his higher nature, the boy was given a voice in the town council during his teenage years, showing sufficient wisdom and persuasiveness to bring no strong opposition to that choice.

Everything the boy was taught was that his was a future of glory and splendour, that he would become a paladin of legend.

Some ill befell the village, and the village sent out for help, but rather than waiting for help to arrive the young lad led around 30 villagers to find the threat.

They found it.

The 4 who made it back decided to wait for the help.

When the soldiers had arrived to actually deal with the situation, some effort was made to channel the boy's zeal more constructively. He was assigned to instruction as a paladin.

For all his obvious talent, there was one thing he did not take well to; criticism. As such he gravitated away from the paladins and towards the clerics, who, like those in his homeland, prized him for the celestial being he was.

From the priests, the young man learned more of the heavens and the purpose of his ancestors. He aspired to follow in those same footsteps.

Of course, he returned, with divine blessings, to reclaim the mantle of leadership in his home town. Yet the memory of the massacre was still strong, proof that such an untried boy had no place in the town council.

How could this be? He was the child of an angel, a force for the divine. How could they turn against him?

While repeated efforts were made to win over the townsfolk, they were having none of it. They would not accept that he was their rightful leader.

Until the brigands came.

Under the bright banner of the aasimar, they siezed control of the town and took their spoils of blood and innocence. At once, the divine powers deserted him.

Deserted him? Heaven would betray him too?

Thus did Sentallial Vittari turn to the service of Bane. The tyrant. Dominance and fear were his ways. What most see, is still the sacred agent of light and virtue. They see an aasimar. A force for light that they would follow to the ends of the earth.

What they get, is the Deciever of Fools.

Thats pretty cool too! The build im going with will basically be The Dread Emporer, except with a cleric and taint and the diabolist and all sorts of evil goodness...

Actually heres my build.

cleric 6/ diabolost 10/ tainted sorcerer 4 (and if my DM decides to make it gestalt, ill have duskblade 20 on the other side. i really like the idea of channeling a Wrack spell through a melee attack. :D )

and ill mix up the tainted sorcer and diabolist for optimization and to get the class abilities of the tainted sorcerer fairly early. My domains are Evil and Pain. :evillaugh Ill have as much Dread Emperor equipment as possible. thats pretty much it.

Like i said before, that'll be my antisocial power-hungry tyrant aasimar.
