| Lomiir11-09-03, 11:45 PM | My friends and I are starting up a game with all evil characters. The DM says we can be neutral if we like but I think being evil might offer a more interesting experience. Although being neutral might offer roleplaying opportunities "Come on guys that downright WRONG you cant kill the baby..." Overall I'm looking at being an archer... fighter, order of the bow initiate, deepwood sniper, shadowdancer, and arcane archer all look appealing to use somewhere in my development.(if specific classes might matter for roleplaying purposes?) The other characters are an evil paladin, evil cleric and an evil wizard. Any ideas on a background story(why i might be evil and how i met the other characters?) or how to roleplay an evil elf archer? Maybe something along the lines of "I'm the ****, nobody is a better shot than me" Just be really arrogant? Thats kinda a cardboard character concept though... All help is appreciated as this is my first real DnD game(I've played NWN for a long while though) I'm a hardcore powergamer but I'd really like to have some fun roleplaying too. Thanks |

He used elven material to be better than them and eventually kill them. He was a young noble who loved to hunt, but was arrested by a ranger (2E, ranger were only "good"). So he simply killed the ranger (who dare to prevent him to kill what he wants?). He started hating all that protect the nature, and since elves are amongst those who protect the best the nature, he hates them. But in same time, they were the best hunter he knows, so he copied them. He could also be born on an elven city, but with evil tendencies. A trouble-maker, who lie to everyone, eventually cast away from the elven city. He only want to be accepted by others, but in same time he use them, lie to them, etc. |

An NE elf that acts all evil, but inside he desparately wants to return to his homeland and rejoin his people. All this elf knows is evil (since he was mostly raised by bandits and cutthroats) and believes that the more successful he becomes, the more power he gains and the more likely he is able to rejoin his kind. This of course is the views of a young character, such simplicity is deemed to fail. As such it would be interesting to see what would he would do. As all he has known is cruelty and violence... |
