| lordsloth05-23-05, 04:32 PM | I am playing in a campaign that is going divine at epic levels. I intend to be an evil god. I am going to take a cohort to serve as the figurehead of my religion. (actually i have already taken a bard cohort but im going to pull a sidious on her and make her my own darth vaderish sidekick) I am basically looking for something cleric-ish that just oozes evil and power. You dont need to give me a fully min-maxed build with items and all the blabla, just some concept and some interesting prestige classes and i'll try to figure the rest out on my own (thats why im posting here and not on the optimisation boards). It may also be an arcane caster instead of a cleric, as long as its evil and can take the epic spellcasting feat at lvl 21. you need not worry about the bard levels she already has, the DM said i could use wishes and miracles to change her completely (starting with the stats she had at lvl 1 s:9/d:10/c:12/i:16/w:14/c:18) If you mention something from nonCore books, please mention the source so i can try to track down a copy of the text. So basically, lvl 21 evil religious female figurehead. |

Evil, Law(Good-sounding, Evil-approved!) or Chaos, Death (Biggie), Destruction, Madness(Good choice, from Lords of Madness), and Strength are good domains to choose, if you are creating a diety of your own. Thick armor to conceal her true identity when she's acting evil (Disguises her voice to sound masculine, etc.) Just some pointers. I'm using a few of these for my character "Vile", a FTR/6 CLR/6 (Of unknown, evil diety) Uses lots of buff and hindrance spells, and has whirlwind attack. |
| lordsloth05-24-05, 08:26 PM | Currently contemplating a Black Flame Zealot. (I'll try to make sure my character has a foot in the door with that order, so my cohort can take the class) Its part cleric so its plausible as the leader of a religious order, it has death attack (without the option to paralyse) so it has en evilish vibe going for it. I'd like her to have the Trickery and Undeath domains (so i'll have to see my main character can grant them, as that is who she will be worshipping). Another thing i like about the black flame zealot is the ability to sheath their weapon in black flame at will. Sure those extra 1d6 wont make much of a difference but you gotta appreciate the coolpoints :) Skill wise, I dont know yet. As she will be reborn from level one, under the full attention of my main character, she will have a bit more int than she normally would have (what not with gods casting wish at will :) so she can blow some skillpoints on stuff other than spellcasting skills like concentration and spellcraft. Things like hide and move silently and maybe diplomacy or intimidation. (cross class, but for flavor :) |

If your DM allows higher than 20 add 10 levels of cleric, if you want more spells, or Fighter, for more lethality, or both for a total of 40 levels. While that may seem a lot after ascending to godhood you can take outsider HD, leaving your primary follower about 20 levels behind you, not including bonuses for Div Rank, plus Salient Divine Abilities, even more you are probably leveling faster because the cut in his xp.:evillaugh |

I think the end of the campaign will mostly focus on us playing our cohorts, not our main characters. The cohorts will offcourse be somewhat over their normal cr as they will be first in the graces of gods (who can cast wish pretty much at will) so they start with +5 all stats and such goodies. |
| Stev Beren05-28-05, 09:24 PM | I'll not mention stats but. . Give her, essentially, two identities. YOu mentioned the Darth Vader bit - make one identity something like that - some way that makes her hard to identify. And then another identity which is seemingly innocent and wholesome. . . Or something like that. HAve the one identity become the PC's 'friend'. HAve their skin crawl when they find out who their friend is. |
