I'm creating a level 4 Exalted Lawful Good Aasimar paladin for a campaign with some of the ancient greek gods, and i'm wondering if you have any tips in playing that sort of character, here is my background so far, feel free to comment on it and make suggestions:

Feyd was found on a beach as a child by a Cleric of Athene, the cleric noticed something special about this child so took him under his wing and trained him within the temple to become a Cleric, or religious leader. However Feyd seemed a natural in battle; the village was attacked by neighbouring orcs and he helped fend them off, killing one after another. At this time he was only 14, the Cleric had him sent into training at a convent in Hilderin (the largest city in our campaign) where he became a better warrior by the day. He is now 21, and his order have sent him on his first real quest, to investigate the evil servents of Hecate (which the PC's at the moment are also doing and this is how he runs into them)

His stats are:

Str 16
Dex 13
Con 16
Int 11
Wis 12
Cha 21

I was thinking of having him be very friendly to all, even giving enemys the chance to surrender (he has a diplomacy modifier of +16 ;) ) but when evil finnaly refuses to yield he has an almost Zealus Rage about him.

I was thinking that his main "catchprase," would be:

"By Athene's Chastity!"

Any help regarding my character or any other lawful good sort of character would be of great help as i have never played this kind of character before.

Thank you!

I have just had another thought, he could write poetry about Athene in his spare time and recite lines from it as if he was quoting from scripture.

Does no one have any advice on how to play a lawful good character?

Well if anyone could share their experiences playing a lawful good character that would be cool, like any situation that were funny, or demanding and any mannerisms they gave their character.

Well, I have been known to play a really good paladin in my day. In fact, I had a DM that had been DMing for 15 years tell me I played the best Paladin he had ever seen.

So, now that I have tooted my own horn, and all, here is the lowdown. You are Lawful Good. Not only are you lawful good, but people KNOW you are lawful good. Everyone expects you to do the right thing, everyday, every minute, every second. This leaves you very little lee way in how you act and react to anything. Remember, evil is evil is evil. there are no if's, and's, or but's about it. Evil is the enemy, and must be vanquished. This doesn't mean mercy is out. If the enemy asks for quarter, you give it. Mercy is always granted. You help those in need. You give to the poor.

If at any time during the game, if the thought pops in your head about a proposed action, "is this evil?", assume it is, and don't do it. Your well being is insignificant to that of your fellow good person, or someone in your charge, like a prisoner. For example, a horrendously evil necromancer has surrendered to you, and you are taking him back for trial. In route, you are attacked by some ravenous beast that intends on making you all a nice little meal. You will defend that necromancer from the beast with your last dying breath. Yup, the world may be a better place if you just feed him to the beast, but that isn't your call. Why? Because it would be an evil act, pure and simple.

You should read the Dragonlance novels about the Knight of the Sword, although I can't for the life of me think of his name, which is also the name of the book.

Look up the alignment in the Players Handbook, and that will get you headed in the right direction.

Do you mean the Legend of Huma? Great story, Kas was way cooler though.

Yes, Kaz the Minotaur was way cooler, but for the purpose of this thread, the Legend of Huma is much more fitting.

Speaking of paladins is it bad to have about 19 ranks in Use magic device? We use house feat.
