Okay, Ive been working on this character for a long time, and I was hoping the Exalted Deeds would help out, but it didn't. Anyway, this is the background story. (Mods: if this should belong to the BOED forum, I apologize.)

Isja (the character), an archangel loyal to the Christian/Judish god. He is considered one of few "Grim Reapers" to walk the earth, collecting the souls of the perished. Anyway, the war between Lucifer and heaven was ensued, and Isja was a capable warrior perhaps too capable. Most of his actions were to say, "Unnecessary" , for Isja had lust for the blood of the renegades of Lucifer. His passion for violence was heard to God, and God stepped in take action of this angel with a blood stained Scythe. So, the deity punished the too-vengeful archangel to the newly created Earth. Lucifier on the other hand felt different with that decision, and he brought the forsaken angel to the pits of hell and the devil's soldiers ripped out his wings. Many beings would lose their sanity in the pits of hell, but he still pleaded help for his god, so God took him out of the bowels of hell and back to the earth. God knew his wings were torned out of Isja's body, yet he replaced him with a new set of wings. These weren't oridinary wings, these forged from the finest steel that Heaven can offer (in truth, any metal made from God has bound to be unmatch in any in the universe), yet he is forsaken to expose the wings at any time unless needed. Plus, God gave him his destiny in life on Earth, to resume his position as a soul collecter, plus he was given the job to make sure that existence still goes as plan (Like making sure all appointments on an organizer are on time).

Alignment:
Altough Isja is unable to enter paradise again, he's still faithful to his deity. While he doesn't feel sympathy toward God's newest creation, Humans (What should you expect from Death), he will obey the will of God in any means necessary, even cooperating with humans. His rage of violence hasn't changed since the war between Michael and Lucifier, and whenever he needs to step in, he will act according to his methods and his methods alone inspite his loyalty (Kind of like a Barbaric Paladin  )

Well that is all I can think of for this character. Now, your wondering why I would like some help, well these are what I would like suggestions on:

- Alignment: Would he be (Good or Neutral) (Chaotic, Neutral, or Lawful)???

- Class: Paladin, Fighter, hopefully not a Barbarian, or some class unfound in the DnD books (OGL).

-Race: Well, he is an angel or Celestrial, but those that read the MM know that Celestrials aren't just commonly found in the Material World, nor be a "random adventurer" in a group. What can I do in this case, are there any Fallen Angel templates (I'm not good at making creature templates)???

If you do make any suggestions, thank you.

Alignment: CG or CN: His only oath is for God. His view of the universe, as well as his mission, are quite different than those of other angels, as well as his banishment from paradise. His taste for battle against demon & devil makes him a poor diplomat.

Class: Fighter, or Ranger with favored ennemy: Evil outsiders. Perhaps some "holy warrior" PrC: Holy Liberator, Divine Champion, Templar...

Race: Be a Celestial. For game mechanic, start with an human, with the Celestial Template (http://3.5srd.com/web/sovelior_sage_srd/Sovelior%20SRD/monstersBtoC.html#celestial-creature). Add the feat "Outsider Wings", and you should be correct.

Argh, you just reminded me of another important aspect for this character. Since he is practically the earth Grim Reaper, he has to work with both sides of alignment, Good and Bad due to the fact that both heaven and hell are the final destinations for the souls.

Other than that, thanks for the suggestions.

I suggest you look into Demon: The Fallen, from White Wolf. It is all about playing fallen angels, and it is a pretty awesome read too. Even if you don't use the rules (they aren't D20) you can still find a bounty of ideas.
