I'm playing in my first Forgotten Realms game soon. My character is a Half-Elf from Relkath's Foot in Aglarand. He's going to be a rogue/ranger on his way to the Invisible Blade prestige class. My problem is I can't find a suitable favored enemy. I don't know much about the area, so don't know what would be reasonable. Something I was thinking was maybe using Animal, and say that I made my living selling pelts and furs, but that seems kind of bland. What do you think?

There is a variant rule in Masters of the Wild or maybe Unearthed Arcana. In the variant you can choose an orginization instead of a class of creatures. Such as the Red Wizards of Thay. I think that would be cool.
If thats not your gig try giants or beasts.

Animals is really a waste of a FE. Go aberations or beasts. Those you run into everywhere.

Besides, if your guy makes a living as a fur trapper odds are he spends most of his time going after really small animals like rabbits and foxes that aren't actually dangerous.

In our campaign many opponents are in fact human (evil organisations and the like).
Hell, they're the most plentifull critter around !

I'd go for the Human favored enemy.

Ask your DM; either choose some stong beastie of the region or one hated by your race. If you have a question, ask your DM, if they're a good one, they will help you make your choice. :)

Aglarondan Rangers can select Thayans as a favored enemy, it says so specifically in the Unapproachable East sourcebook. Note that the bonuses apply to anyone whose region is Thay, not just Red Wizards. Thus you would recieve your bonuses against Red Wizards, Thayan Knights, Thayan Slavers, Gnoll warriors/bodyguards, and even perhaps slaves from the region as well.

If you are a Half-Star Elf or if you plan to venture into Sildeyuir then you might also want to select aberations as favored enemy, in order to help the Star Elves against the fight against the Nilshais, of course the Nilshais are infitrating the Yuirwood itself as well, thus I would recommened taking Aberations as a favored enemy regardless.
