I've been thinking about a character concept for a while, but I haven't gotten to do it yet and there are some holes I need to brainstorm about.

She was born to a nomadic tribe to the north (see here, scroll down (http://www.cloudspike.com/burningblades/viewtopic.php?p=2#2)) but she was taken to a the civilization by her parents for some reason (thus I need some help). Now, a decade later, she has returned to her adventures nature and returned to the way of the barbarian.
My plan for her is to make her a Rng2/ftr1/brb1, focused on archery, to really make her focus on the aspect of archery.
The barbarian level is to clearly show that she has a fierce spirit and I plan to let her use a bow with variable strength bonus (from +1 to +3).

She grew up in a village in the middle of civilized lands, so could anybody give me an idea of why she returned to the nomadic style of her ancesotrs?

-Perhaps one of her parents is a "civilised" explorer, who remained with the nomadic tribe for love reasons, and now return to civilisation for whatever reason?
-Perhaps the northern area is invaded by goblins/orcs/rival nomadic tribe, and your parents prefer to move south than fighting, because their child was young?
-Perhaps her father did something wrong and was evicted from the tribe?

Following my earliest suggestions, you could have:
- Her "civilised" parent just died, and she has to tell it to her "barbarian" parent.
- Now that she's old enough, she return to reconquer her tribe's lands.
- Her father was innocent. She return to the tribe to reclaim his honor.
Also:
- She simply doesn't like "civilisation". The men looks weak, and she dream about strong, savage men...
- One of her parents is ill, and she needs to contact her former tribe's shaman for a specific cure...

I would consider revenge, love, and freedom the big three motivations for returning to the wilds after a stint in civilization. Perhaps she grew restless in the city, and longed for the thrill of the hunt, the freedom of the open plain. Or perhaps, as someone has already suggested, her father was wronged and she needs to avenge his slight (perhaps he was murdered). Just a few thoughts...

Not bad ideas at all... I think I'll use the reason that she was given to a trader who moved througuh the land as gnomes (not normal gnomes, more like orcs) attack her fathers land... both her father and mother was killed, but that, she doesn¨t know. She just longs to return to the open plain and to paint her body blue with her tribes colour once more.

Yeah, her civilized parents died too... perhaps from the plague and she took that as a sign that she should move back to nature. She hasn't found any man that could satisfy her needs for strength, skill with weapons and stamina... that sounds good.

That filled in some holes... now I need a good name for a bow and a reason she has a bow wit hsuch power (it will grow with her, some kind of legendary bow much like a weapon of legacy))
