Hey. I know i want to have a character who hates fey with a passion. He'll be sort of an anti-ranger, but still take the ranger class. Where he'll burn down a forests if he sees a group of fey. (Okay, maybe a little to extream, but it's an example of his hatred). Well, anyway, I don't know what his backstory should be. So if anyone could give me some suggestions, that would be GREAT!

Fey tend to be mischevous and careless. Most are not evil (though some are). But they do not care or understand mortals. Perhaps a fey stole his girlfriend/her boyfriend, charming this person. Whether this kidnapping-victim died (the water-fey forgot that most humanoids cannot breathe water) or simply vanished, this is something that crops up in myths from time to time; look for example at Hylas and the Nymphs.

As a variant, your character could be the abducted lover. In many stories, time flows different in the fey realm (e.g. Eberron's Thelanis). Perhaps he was abducted, spent some great time with the fey (and thus learned about them - hence the bonuses from favoured enemy), but was then dropped as the fey moved on. He returned to his world only to find that time had passed there much faster, and that all those he loved had died, everything had changed, and he had no connections there anymore.

Perhaps he is part fey himself, in a culture that does not accept cross-breeds or fears them, and he blames his outsider status on these creatures. Perhaps, too, he was the victim of a fey curse in the fashion of the fairie tales, which makes him shunned by those around him. Something like an evil faerie which appeared at his birth, perhaps to take vengeance herself against his parents or ancestors, for an insult real or imagined (cue: Sleeping Beauty, with a different curse).

On the other hand, perhaps he is not a fey, while his sibling was blessed by them. He has always been jealous of that brother or sister, and believed the fey were unfair for overlooking him. Entitlement and jealousy can be powerful forces, and the angst that goes with it could make for an interesting character, if not a very pleasant one.

Then there might be the fact that he just makes a mistake. Something dreadful might have happened. A plague breaking out and killing those he loved, his army losing in a strange and unexplained way, or his people being under the yoke of a sorceress with weird powers. People blame the fey for these reverses. This might or might not be true, but that does not matter as long as your character firmly believes it (if it is not true, it could make an interesting development to follow the character as he more and more comes to see the errors of his way).

Also, he might be misled rather purposefully by a group which hates the fey. Perhaps some Unseelie are manipulating him and others to sway the other fey to strike back with full force. Perhaps some devils or demons, or other evil force needs to remove the fey from a world (or part thereof) to fulfill their goals, and have let the character believe that the fey themselves are evil and the cause of many troubles, and must be removed. Of course, if you don't mind playing a character who is not good, perhaps he knows what he is doing, and does it in the service of his fiendish masters.

Just some ideas. I might come up with more later. Hope they help :)

Wow, that helped alot. I love the idea of the fey stealing the person, and then when he returns many years later, he discovers all the people he love are dead because of the difference of time. Wow. Great. Amazing. Thank you so much!

Oh! I just thought of a really funny one. The character was once a rich noble, and was strolling though the forest. That's when he came across a pixie traveling trader. He asked for some food, and when he went to get his gold, the pixie made it look like oak leaves. This made the noble confused and angry. He became feral against fey because he "lost" all of his money.
