| Fiddlewheel03-11-06, 05:55 PM | Hi! My name is Fiddlewheel Trinketstone, and I am Gnome Sorcerer whom want to tell you my little background story, and I want a little feedback from you guys whom I trust to be totally honest in a friendly matter! But, oh my I talk to much! you guys want to get started on my story right away, Right? Well, Lets get started then! My childhood where an happy one, I whas a happy little squirt whom had an wild and unusal passion for potion brewing, and used most of my time in a little laborotory my parents made for me, and I swear, I could use HOURS on just mixing things with my trinkets and doodas and other gadgets like there where no tommorrow!(under the supervicions of someone professional,of course!) How we could afford an lab, you say? Well, my family where quite rich you see, bcause of being kind, yes, you heard me! you CAN become wealthy of helping other people! You see, my parents helped people, poor people even, to get a job by working for Ma and Pa Trinket in their marketing business! Yes, my parents where none other than the famed Ma and Pa Trinket, and I whas little Fiddle! But enough about that... And thats how they got rich, by letting poor people get a little education from the Trinkets to market! and they only did it with pure heart! Bless their souls... but then, one faithful day, tragedy struck! My parents came back from a long business trip, and as excited I where, I rushed for them like the wind when they came! They had bought with them a BEAUTIFUL but wierd piece of art. It whas a flat, medallion shaped sculpture of a 3 headed dragon whom breathed fire in three directions: upwards, downwards and straight forward. Its heads made in three different metals, one whas made in rough iron, the second where in typical Copper and the last where made in the most beautiful Mithril, and the eyes were encrusted with beautiful gems! Clearly the artist spared no expence on this beautiful work of art! They told me that they bought it off some merchant in one off the major cities they went to, whom practically threw it at them! But, alas the joy of the homecoming parents where only to be a short one, for as once they showed me this sculpture, one of the town guards where shot by an arrow, followed by an group of what appeared to my young eyes as a group of wild savages whom yelled and screamed in languages wich sounded quite foul and horrid for those whom didnt understand it. The group roud in on grusome steeds, wich breathed fire, and neighed in an terrifiyng way! Oh the horrid! My parents sent me inside with the sculpture in hands, and told me to run out the kitchen entrance, and out of the village! Being ever-loyal to my parents wishes, I did not hesitate, and went through the house like an arrow shot by an Elf marksman, without looking back! once outside, I ran for the bridge leading out of town, while I heared the slaughter behind me... While I was running, I tripped and fell, loosing the sculpture for everybody to see it! And clearly, one of the madmen saw it, and immideatly started galloping for me upon hes cruel mount! I didnt hesitate, I jumped up and kept on running! I reached the bridge, and the madman caught up with me, trying to take the sculpture from me! I faught against him with all then strenght I could muster, and then I slipped! fell, falling into the icy cold water beneath me with the sculpture in hands, and, being a young Gnome-child, I where easily swept away by the rivers cruel anger... Along the way, I lost the figurine while being dragged under the water, and I couldnt hold on it forever, and thats all I remember from that day after drowning slowly in the water... But, it wasnt the end of Fiddle, for when my lifeless body where washed ashore on a river bank, an really old wizard came up and saw my remains, and, being an old and kind, he found out that he wanted to spare my life... But, he knew that he couldnt watch over me, since he whas old and venerable, he didnt have much time at all, so he came down to only one conclusion, he bound all the magic he could muster to hes soul, and then bound hes soul to mine, and then unleashed an powerful ressurection spell upon what were our body now, my time werent come at all! One day later, I woke, tired and unwary of what happened to me, I found myself awaken in an old house wich layed beside the country side, where only an lone old elf woman lived in. I learned later that she had found me lying by the river where she often came by to pick fresh flowers. When she asked my name, I stuttered slowly: "Fiddle..." and, being afraid of being found by the crazy raiders, I added something to my name as well: "wheel...Trinketstone..." She asked for my parents, but the only thing I could utter whas "mommy!" before I bursted into tears, and she understood right away that something grusome had happened... There I grew up, in an old nice house with an nice old lady elf whose name whas Gellany Forrenthlie, an old Druid whom had a never ending love for everything that grew and lived... And I, stayed and helped here in any way I could... But, as I grew, my thirst for creating grew as well, and then, one day I just HAD to create something, so I asked Gellany if she knew where I could find something to brew potions with... She told me that I could find magical herbs in the forest, but I had to be careful for the beasts that lived in the forest... Young, and foolish, I said that I werent afraid of any monsters in the forest... I went later into the forest to find a little something something, and, she whas right! there where at least a HUNDRED different herbs for me to play with! While I was happily pikking every kind of herb I heard of and havent heard of, I noticed a high, buzzing sound sneaking up from my behind... And there it whas! The biggest hornet I ever saw! I mean, it whas HUGE! I layed there, paralzed by fear, thinking costantly: "is this the end?" But then, a miracle happened! when the hornet where readying for the attack, I reached out my right hand, and then I unleashed a powerful magical fire wich burnt it to a cinder! Astounded, and a little puzzled, I layed there looking at my hands, astounded by my newfound magical abilities, I rushed back to Gellany to tell here off what happened! At first she was astounded, and then she looked a little sorry, and the she just walked up to one off the vindows in the living room, and looked out off it with dreamy eyes filled with tears... I knew she wanted to be alone, so let here be the rest off the day... One week passed, I whas enjoying myself by working with some off the herbs in my room, when she suddenly came and said to me: "I will help you with your new found strength, Fiddlewheel!" And the I began to train my magical powers, day in and day out, learning more and more how to control it... Until finally... I where grown up, and where finally ready to leave for my own future... Gellany looked a little proud of me there I stood on the porch, ready to leave. She told that I should seek out an old friend of here`s that whas a merchant in the nearby big city, that maybe he could help me get on my feet... And then I went to the big city, where my potions seemed to be quite wanted, and then I grew quite wealthy... I never forgot what happened in my home town, and I weep everyday for my parents... And then, the wildest story in my life where just about to start... |
