The character has been trained as a malarite druid, but what he does not know (and neither do his more senior druids that train him) is that he carries fiendish blood (feat: Fiendish heritage). As he progresses in strength he also awaken (fiendish feat selections) more and more of his fiendish nature (at level 9: Fiendish legacy = summon Monster as SLA is RPed as an extention of the "summon natures ally" into his parent plane). Alignment wise he will be NE where the "evil" part could be translated into that he might choose not to stop an epidemic which will kill lots of innocent people just because in the long run this benefits Nature (by keeping the population of civilized people down). His kind of evil is an "Ends justify the Means" type. The basic levelling plan is Druid 9/Nar Demonbinder 1*/Arcane Hierophant 10** * Qualify for this via Fiendish legacy ** Also the familiar companion will take on fiendish (cosmetic) traits from the infernal familiar. Some issues in the char development: FALSE GODS In many religious conflicts the opponents are accused of worshiping false gods (how this translates for divine spellcasting is difficult to know). Would it be possible for a druid that believes he is serving Malar but actually serve a non-deity (I was thinking Demorgon which sort of share the same flavour and I was thinking that he would have dreams that he believes comes from Malar but that actually come from Demorgon) to tap into the powers of Nature? Nar Demon lore As his fiendish blood awakens, his mind is able to stretch across the planes and call forth a creature from the infernal planes. At this moment he will actively search for information about this ability and how to control it further. Here also his "evil" plays a role since he will see the demons as powerful tools to use in the war against undeath and expanding civilization. How this would be collected and approached by a druid is however not really clear for me. |

How he aquires his Nar Demon lore, is something you can pick-up as you roleplay the character. You don't have to have everything worked out, there could be a few different sources. Prom |

I do however enjoy to play the evil guy, but a smart kind of evil. It is very possible that the other players will know my alignment but their characters won't (as long as none chooses to play a paladin...). The characters will primarily experience a VERY fanatic druid who hates the spread of civilization, pushing back the wilderness. He also carries a ferocious hatred towards undead which will put him in the "OK" box among most people. As he progresses he will take on more and more visible physical characteristics from his fiendish heritage, but it is not until quite late (level 9+) that he really starts to summon real evil stuff (first via Fiendish Legacy, then Nar demonbinder). At that time I think I will have been able to establish the "Ends justify the Means" philosophy (for example by refusing to heal or cure certain people - which might include party members if it furthers his ambitions). EDIT: Oh... and the barbarian tribe he comes from lives in the wastelands of ancient Narfell |
