| Errik01-27-08, 02:10 AM | Hi All, I am primarily focusing on being an effective summoner. So I've had this idea floating around in my head of a druid/wizard surrounding himself with summoned fire elementals, fire mephits, salamanders, etc on the battle field and following up with fireballs with no worries of injuring my troops. Our group will be starting off at 4th level so that scenerio won't come into fruition for quite some time. Anyways, anybody got any suggestions, hints, or wicked little combos that would work nicely with this build? It will be my first real spell caster so any input would be most appreciated. Most books are available or up for discussion. I do have a quick question as well regarding this. The prereq's for this prestige includes a +4 BAB. Does the +1 to attacks for small characters factor into BAB? It seems stack into my BAB on 2 seperate character generators I use, but I could see an argument for why it wouldn't. Thanks in advance for any feedback. Druid3/Wizard3/Arcane Hierophant? 1 Druid - Spell Focus(Conj) 2 Druid 3 Druid - Augmented Summoning 4 Wiz 5 Wiz 6 Wiz - Imbued Summoning 7 AH |

Check the stickies at the top and do a Ctrl+F for "summon" in the Handy Links thread; that should give you a little inspiration. I think there's a thread specifically about the Arcane Heirophant, for that matter, but you might need to use the forum Search tool to find it. I do have a quick question as well regarding this. The Size bonus factors into your Attack bonus, but it's distinct from your Base Attack Bonus, which means you'll need another level of either Wizard or Druid to get into Arcane Heirophant. If your DM will allow it, you might consider taking the feat Precocious Apprentice to get a level 2 Wizard spell at first level, and then qualify for Arcane Heirophant with Wizard 2/Druid 4, although this might incur multiclassing XP penalties for nonhumans. |
