| Persephone Imytholin10-18-04, 09:19 PM | Try and answer some of these: - Who and what were his parents? - Is he a freelance assassin, or tied to a specific group? - Does he steal for himself, or is his thieving for hire? - Where does he live? Why? - Does he have any close friends? - Does he have any family? - Why is he attracted to fire? Is it just because fire's pretty? Is there something in his background? Is it a curse? - What does he wear? - Was his family wealthy or poor? - What's his source of income? - What's his favourite colour? - What does he like to eat and drink? I could keep going all day, but the more you can tell us, the better we can help. Think back over fantasy books, since they usually have pretty good characters that you can take bits from. Watch movies - maybe there's a scar, or a slight limp, or a voice, or even a saying that you want for your character. |

Psionics is also an option if you want to have your character control fire, with a few pyrokineticist powers available at low levels. But yeah, you're definitely going to want to think about your character's character first. Persephone's questions are a good start; try looking around this forum for ideas. |
| Murr-Quan Lord #210-18-04, 09:34 PM | Our party rogue was a pyro at low levels. He even set a Gelatinous Cube on fire once. ^.^ Alchemist's Fire is definitely what you're looking for! You can also try Use Magic Device, on scrolls of Burning Hands and suchlike. |

Fire was the only thing that kept him alive on the street. And fire has always been there for him. With no were to turn he became a theif. Stealing to just make it by. Currently Arsonestic is tied to a group, but to make a long story short, he got hit in the when he was drunk, and is on on a quest, and contiualy gets hit in the head by the Elven Conjurer Furlov Flamingoil. Arsonestic startined killing for money becasue, well, he needed the money. Then, Arsonestic got good at it, and Started killign quieter, and more proficient. Learinig how to make it look as if people Spontanicly Combust, or randomly die in Fires. But He's still got a long way to go ti'll he is really good. With out friends are family to really worry about it Arsonestic roams around the city, looking for more mischief, not looking to kill the innocent, just a good scare here and there. He got a lovely scar going verticly 2 inches about the left eye, and down two inches from this mischief once. Set a building on fire and a support beam came down and sliced the skin open, and burned it shut at the same time. Wears a Theifs clothing almost all the time, and always carring flasks of oil. Playing with fire may get him burned. Hows that? Thanks for reading |
