| dmralph01-06-06, 01:29 PM | Hello all. This is my first time playing in the forgotten realms setting and dont know much about the history of the world or the areas we are going to encounter. My character will be a Tiefling Wiz 5 / Sevenfold Veil 4. Sevenfold Veil PrC is from the Arcane sourcebook. The adventure is City of the Spider Queen and will commence in Daggerdale or Shadowdale. There will be a Tiefling Rog as well in the party. I need some ideas for my character's background. Where could a tiefling spellcaster would come from? Who are my natural enemies? How are tieflings viewed in this area of Faerun? Any help is appreciated! :D |

Okay, This part is tricky for me unless your running some house rules. You would never be able to meet the skill reqs for Sevenfold Veil at level 5, you wouldn't be able to take your first level of Sevenfold Veil until level 10. Any help is appreciated! :D As far as this is concered, you can really have your tiefling from anywhere, but from what I've read they are more common in the eastern lands like Mulhorand. Natural enemies would be specific to your background. If your good aligned then perhaps you might even have some of your demonic ancestors after you to cleanse their bloodline. Get as creative as you want, just run it past your DM. Depending on the features your specific tiefling and how apparant it is to the people around him that he is in fact a tiefling will determine how they are viewed. Typically they are most often viewed as evil and shunned, a lesser scale than that of the drow. I hope that was helpful, Azurath |

As for enemies most of the known world comes to mind as your infernal nature is pretty obvious to all who look upon you unless you specifically hide it. When it is discovered however and lets face it, it will be discovered from time to time most people will consider you evil on sight and many of the bravers ones will try to run you out of town or outright kill you. Your chief enemies however will be paladins and celestials as they dont even need your disguise to fail to sense the evil that you are. |
