Greetings, I am a player of Hortax Doomclaw, a Flesh Golem character, but I'm kinda not intrested in taking the standard path of a fighter, so please give me some ideas about developing my character after I have attained the 15 racial levels that are reguired before multi-classing. Here are my ability scores:
Str:18
Dex:16
Con:-
Int:10
Wis:8
Cha:1

I dont know much about playing a golem... but i hope your stats get better than that

As for what you want him/her/it to do, choose one of the 4 basics, combat/stealth/divine/arcane.

A flesh golem rogue would be interetsting... i recon having one of those sneak up on you would cause anyone to unload a bowl of butt pudding :P

Or perhaps a necromancer of some sorts? Perhaps the flesh golem is researching ways to improve itself, knowing that it cant take the conventional paths, it seeks ones more inline (necromancy) with its current existance.

Hope this helps some.

Peace

You might try golem barbarian, with the elemental furious at its forced servitude and regularly going on a rampage. Making him to a Frenzied Berserker (CW) might be a good choice.
Another interesting option (if you can buff your Wis somehow) is to multiclass as a monk, representing the aforementioned elemental spirit trying to get control over its new body.
Fithero's ideas are rather interesting, too.
Have fun (and improve your stats ;-))!

Well, according to the Savage Species, Flesh golems gain after the whole 15 racial levels +6 int (which negates the -6 int penalty at the beginning), +8 to str, +10 natural armor and Large size(14), so naturally I was thinking about getting him the Incarnate construct template, but then I noticed that if I'd do that, I'd also lose it's natural weapons, the +30(/20?) construct type bonus hit points and all special qualities, but still I wouldn't even get some feats to compensate the losses. Only thing it would improve were to set the permanent cha of 1 into 3 and chance to roll the constitution score. If I go for this kind of developement, I must pray my DM to give me something extra, oh well...

BTW thanks for the intresting ideas, I'll look into it. I'm waiting for my Complete Arcane to show up at the store right now.

With low charisma, play him as blunt, and make him use short sentences, cut off sentences in the middle, and make him also agree to things way too easily, with no real oppinion of his own. With his huge to be intellegence, make him quiet and reserved, silently laughing at the foolish plans of others, but going along.
Meh, I dunno really.

Thanks for the help. I need all I can get right now, but I'm also starting to get some awesome ideas after doing some research on the epic level rules. I think that the best way might be to few levels of rogue and wizard and then take the blue wizard prestige class that I have heard rumours of.

Because my flesh golem is going to be a damn tough opponent to kill, it might be useful to get some blue magic into my arsenal, since I have made it clear that I am not going to use weapons of any kind. I also noticed that the Incarnate Construct template might be better than I last time gave it credit for.

First, I'm going to get to level 14 to gain the large size and last bonuses of the flesh golem racial class. Second, I'm going to ask my wizard ally to cast the Incarnate Construct -spell on me. That gives me level adjustment penalty of -2, which reduces my ECL to 12, BUT according to my DM I get to keep all my feats and skills since my flesh golem is a PC (duh). I lose my natural weapons, special attacks and special qualities as a flesh golem construct. Then become a giant because of my large size and 10ft reach. If I take the rogue class I get -4 penalty to all my hide checks, but I can use magic items to compensate for this loss. Also, since I must roll my constitution score, I can only pray for high score. I also noticed a rule that only decreases my hp bonus of +30 with only 2 points, so it's still gonna be +28.

I shall have increased both my dexerity and intelligence so that I can kick ass as a rogue and have good magic-using abilities, so at level 40 I'm going to be a male flesh golem incarnate construct (Large Giant) rogue 15/wizard 3/blue wizard 10. Trust me, it's much better than it sounds at first.
