Total Re-edit. The party was re-formed, and now I'm a human female favored soul. Still of Sharess!

Statistics. I'm going to put her highest statistic into Charisma. It's just obvious. Next Dexterity, because she'd be graceful. Constitution for taking alcohol and those endurance-testing all night parties. Next intelligence, because I find it very difficult to roleplay people far below average. Next, appearing far too late on this list for the hardcore to take me seriously, wisdom. Wisdom is the second key stat for her class, I think, but her character just wouldn't make sense with, say, 14 wisdom or something. Lastly, strength. She doesn't do any strenuous work, she's a social person.

Region. So, I think I'm going to go with her being raised in Calimshan. It just seems to make sense that way. Calimshan's culture tolerates, even promotes, the idea of a hedonistic lifestyle.

Age, well, she should be old enough to party, young enough to still be excessive about it. I'm thinking her age would be 15+1d8. I'll save that roll for when I'm confident in my choice of formula.

Reason for leaving the normal life? She's adventuring because of two reasons; she wants to try new exotic pleasures (local foods, drinks, ...people.) and she wants to spread the outlook of hedonism to the repressive parts of the world. (Hey, she's optimistic about it.)

I talked with my DM, and he doesn't seem to mind the idea of her being a lycanthrope. He's willing to work it into his plot. So, I wanted to make her a werecat, but housecats are nothing advantageous... any ideas?

I played a follower as well. Straight sorcerer.
I made a point to visit ever "festhall" in every town.
Tithing meant spending gold on wine women and song

Just for fun, get the party barbarian totally drunk and push him towards the lonely lady half orc. He wakes up in the morning yelling, "Chewbaca!"

It got to where recurring bad guys would hang out in festhalls because i would eventually show up there. The rest of the party knew to come running if explosions and screams come from any festhall, generally it means I'm slinging spells. "Hey the sorcerer found experiance points! CHARGE!"

PS, Fireballs, and alcholhol don't mix. Its a GREAT combo! Bars can literally explode! Take Fire spells at you first oportunity

[ comments about Mystic Wanderer not really relevant any more.]

Awesome, sounds like tremendous fun. What region were you from? What kind of skills, spells? I like your description a lot.

Straight sorcerer, despite what everyone on the CO and Class boards says, is a fun route. And, as Sorcerer said, bars can explode. In your spells known, you would be quite remiss in not including Magic Missile, Fireball, and Lightning Bolt. Don't forget Charm spells, and maybe a Dominate Monster.

Oh, and if your party needs money, Profession/Courtesan could come in handy.

Arcane Devotee of Sharess, if only for flavor reasons if you go the sorcerer route. You actually could get away with the Cleric 3/Mystic Wanderer 1 (Practiced Spellcaster makes up the deficiet perfectly) in terms of caster level, but I'd wait until Epic to do that, so you don't lose spells known. As for terms of a character as opposed to stats, quirks make or break a character. A couple of my favorites (taken from a rather... interesting list of wild surge effects designed, I believe, for 2nd Ed. Of course, these are the more tame ones):

Subconsciously has a habit of smiling warmly and staring at men's crotches while licking her lips.

Is only able to speak in a seductive, husky voice.

I was having trouble deciding if I should edit this thread or make a new one, but I chose to edit. Unfortunately, that leaves it somewhat buried. So...

Well, consider asking him for a bonus of +4 or so to Dex when in hybrid form, as well as bonuses to Move Silently, Tumble, Balance, Listen, and Spot. Maybe +2 or so to each, or maybe only to a selected few. Remember you get the +2 to Wis that all lycans get, so that Wis 14 will be bumped up to a 16. Quite good, if you're not a min/maxer. In terms of RPing advantages, well, in more open-minded societies, her abilities as a lycan could make her the life of the party. In other societies, well, she could tail a handsome guy, turn into a cat to sneak into his house, and then beat him to his bedroom to surprise him in a rather... pleasant manner. Age generation seems about right, though it is curious you don't just pick her age yourself. Have you given thought to her general appearance, height, etc? Whether or not she was born of foriegners into Calimshan? I don't have CD, so I don't know what Favoured Soul does, but if you can give me an idea, I would be willing to help...
