Fremen Ranger [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-05-05, 09:30 PM I read the preview for Sandstorm, and have a new campaign coming up. So I want to have a ranger character that is, essentially, fremen. Besides the basics (preserving water, challenging people to death duels all the time), what backstory can I make for him? Something to explain why he's a desert character and playing in what is effectively Scotland.

03-05-05, 10:33 PM if I knew what alignment he was going to be and better yet, what he is now.

Example, my character is NG but when we started, even though he thought he was NG, he was actully N, with truly Evil tendencies (but was growing out of them)

03-06-05, 01:33 AM I think the best way to describe what the fremen were is LE, what with they're strong traditions yet barbarian attitudes.

03-06-05, 02:41 AM It depends on whether you're talking about fremen prior to the corruption Muad-dib inflicted on them or the pre-Atreides fremen. Pre-atreides, they were definitely LN or evn LG. Mostly they killed each other because they were at war, or they killed Harkonnen. And why wouldn't you killa Harkonnen?
