Here's a fun idea I thought of for a player or DM to use, and I hope this is a good forum for this. It would require a bit of entry requirement tweeking for the prestige class, but not much. Just require certain mysteries instead of abjuration spells. The original class still has to be level 9 anyway. Shadowcaster 9 / Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil 7 The idea that colors have different properties, and the idea that shadow is the true, inner essence of reality are two intersting ideas. This kind of character sees truth in both philosophies, and uses the power of darkness to control color and shadows, and color to control material properties. If you're a DM using this idea, add a little spice to this NPC. Use Consume Essence to control the target's shadow and their color. Not only that, but combine it with Greater Shadow Invoccation to create an illuision that is 90% (possibly more) real. For a visual of this idea, check out Daft Punk's discovery album art.
