Melil13 03-04-08, 01:50 AM	I am sure this has plaied its part in many character ideas. I have a straight up bard who likes to see and hear things. Some times uses Illusions to show people just what he sees or hears. Sometimes his Insanity Manifests through his illusions ... such as in combat a ghost appears to distract his enemies. Any ideas on past mishaps that i should avoid?
Drackthor 03-04-08, 02:41 AM	Seeing as how someone who is insane would likely believe everyone sees what he or she sees, I fail to see why he would attempt to recreate those images via illusions.
Melil13 03-04-08, 02:51 PM	good point it is most obvious i need to put alittle more thought into this one. ;p really test my RPing skills and with what better class then a bard! Revision of the top of my head real quick: How about at times he manifests his illusions (ie silent image or w/e) and dosnt realize he is doing it? i dont know we will see how it works out when the game starts if nothing else i can pull off being a pransker or what not.
Drackthor 03-04-08, 03:34 PM	Alright, for starters, you've got to sit down and decide what you want to do, and do it. Shooting out random ideas about one minute being crazy and the next he's a prankster will get you nowhere. Also, if you choose for your character to be insane, how did he become insane? Was it from some horrific event? Flesh out his backstory.
Melil13 03-04-08, 11:45 PM	Logan Al'Mayhen lead a normal childhood in a small back end farm town. Nothing special ever happened, save for a few festivals that regularly came around the year. It was during the harvest festival that the small town was visited by a bard who sang about legends and told tales of heroes. Logan never wanting to become a farmer decided to runaway and become a bard. So that is just what he did, in the middle of the night he snuck off to find the bard. It wasn't long till he caught up to the bard and asked to accompany him as an apprentice. The bard seeing him in Logan reluctantly agreed. So the bard taught Logan all the stories and songs he knew, but also showed Logan around the world. After years the boy left the bard to find his family and tell them of his accomplishments. As he returned to his home town he was shocked to discover his village was taken over by a group of bandits. And before his very eyes his entire village was destroyed. Logan did the only thing he could do and avenge his home. So late at night he snuck into the bandit camp using the skills he learned from his master. He found the bandit leader and tried to kill him ... he ended up a prisoner of the evil bandits. They found his talents entertaining and forced him to preform for their sick pleasure. They tortured Logan messing with his head forcing him to watch as everyone he knew was killed ... they then brought his own family before him or what was left. Logan learned brother and siblings died from an illness during the time he was away. His father was killed when the farmers resisted the bandits. Alls that was left was his mother and youngest sister. The bandits made him an offer ... to kill his own family and be freed or join them. Logan refused to do it so the bandits tortured the 2 women. For days on end Logan listened to their screams ... they begged him to kill them. So Logan agrees to kill them in exchange for his freedom. They are brought before him and he is given a dagger. He as he drove the dagger home into what was left of his family ... they thanked him with tears in their eyes. No sooner did the life fade from their eyes then the alarm went up in the camp as the camp came under attack by the law-enforcement. They killed all the bandits, they found Logan standing over the bodies of his youngest sister and mother ... not being able to bare what he did he turns the dagger onto him self. As he plunges the dagger into his chest he hears a hysterical laughter. For some time he was floating in darkness with the laughter all around him. The voices reminded him of the destruction of his home and the murder of his family by his hand. They speak to him and show him things .... or is what he see's really there? Is the maddening voices really there or are they his voice? Its been so long he dosnt care anymore ... if other's knew what he saw or heard they may think he was mad. Am I laughing or is that the voices in my head?
