I'm trying to think of a fun character to play. Not some character who is insanely good, I want insanely fun. For instance, my current character is a level five rogue who, because we each started out with 9,000 gold but weren't allowed to spend more than a third of that on one item, bought quite a few Feather Tokens (Tree) and I plan on using them a lot. But now that I think about it, I may want to try something different, like a bard or something like that. Any ideas? |

For my last game I made a changeling wizard w/ the racial sub lvls from races of eberron. morphic familure is fun as well as picking the spells and schools to drop to try to do things in an unorthadox way. But what I found really fun was the changeling side of it. Created a backstory about how I stole(ie spent all my gold from character creation) to get a Boccobs blessed book. The person I stole it from then hired what basicly turned out to be an npc player partie of a few lvls lowers comeing after me to retreave said item. I spent the rest of the game haveing to repeatedly change personalitys to put off pursuit. Adding a really interesting and fun dynamic and really tested my knowladge of the class so i wouldn't do anything that would tip people off as to what I actualy was when I was pretending to be a lvl two wizard or a lvl 5 spell thief ect and when i had to blow my cover getting a new one w/o getting cought and catching up w/ the partie :D For me that was fun. But what can also be fun is a hard to play effectivly class. Like a telepath in a largly undead campain. or specializeing as a wizard and not allowing any evocation or conjeration spells so you have to really work for your damage ect. Mess with your alignment maybe. If you normally play good characters try to make an evil character that is pretending to be good to gain power and then turn on the rest of the partie. Hey just going to be a few lvl campain that can make for a pritty memorable and fun ending to it. Just be sure you don't tip your hat and you don't pull the trigger till the campain is pritty much done because that could ruin what your dm is going for before he gets the satisfaction of a good campain for all his hard work. |
