I'm sorry if I missed an earlier post that dealt with something like this. I'm currently creating a Dwarf character using the gestalt character D&D variant outlined in Unearthed Arcana, combining the Fighter and Barbarian classes. Using 30-point point-buy, his abilities are Str 18 Dex 10 Con 18 Int 8 Wis 8 Cha 8. His backstory thus far is as follows: This fighter/barbarian is a Dwarf suspected to have a trace of Orc blood, for although his strength and toughness is unmatched, he is uneducated and unwise. Recognizing the potential of such a soldier, the Dwarven military accepted him. Unfortunately, his wild and chaotic nature led to his downfall. He discarded his orders in favor of his own (poor) judgement; not only this, but he grew enraged when rebuked for doing so. He was discharged from the military for disobeying orders and insubordination. For the crime of dishonoring his Dwarven name, it was stripped from him, so he now must go by a Human name rather than a Dwarf one. When he was informed of this, he was furious, and vowed that he would show them all that he was worthy of his name, and would return one day to reclaim it. As you can see from his mental ability scores, he's rather dull and foolish, but no more uncharismatic than the average dwarf. I just can't seem to nail down consistent personality traits for him to exhibit. If you have any ideas, please reply. :) |
