Hello everybody! I was wondering if anyone can help me with the background of a Character I play.
It is a Ghaele Eladrin, named Alarien. (12th level)
His deity is Tymora
We play in Forgotten Realms but we use planar handbook too, so the planes are a merge of FR's planes and Big Wheel.
In the story we're playing, we're on Mechanus now.
What happened in the story:
Dungeon Master said that I'm on Mechanus because Regents of Arborea (gahele's house) ordered that I've to discover why an Astral Deva (that was another PC, carried by another player) disappeared suddenly (in game, he just died and his corps suddenly disappeared) and where is finished another gahele.
In game, he was corrupted from the Avatar of Cyric -the party had combat into his temple, so master rolled % die and his avatar appeared- and now the player who had that gahele don't play more, so is PC has just disappeared too, and nobody in Arborea know that is was corrupted.
I joined the party because I've discovered that Deva was with them until few days before.

I need helps about writing a background that justify Tymora as his deity, and not Corellon.
I see that Tymora stay in Brightwater, with a connection to Green Fields. Anyway, Brightwater is also connected with Arvandor, "house" of Corellon.
Maybe he's "born" (Does a Ghaele born, or is generated?) in brightwater?
Please help me!!
Thank you!

One important angle to keep in mind is that Ghaeles are fully formed creatures and do not really develop in stages (i.e. levels) which I am assuming you are doing using the savage species progression. One way around this is to have your character encounter the following events 1) Fall from Grace, 2) Stranger in a Stranger Land, 3) Long Hard Road Back.

What I mean by that are:

Fall from Grace – Either a voluntary removal from the heavenly planes or a “punishment” for a miss-deed

Stranger in a Stranger Land – Revival “back on earth” in a limited version of a true Ghaele; suffering from amnesia and the shock of “rebirth”

Long Hard Road Back – The struggle to regain the full power of Ghaele form and lost memories; making amends; finding home and missing in the multi-universe

The abnormal God for a Ghaele could result from your characters rebirth, amnesia, and/or struggle to find redemption
