| Fithero06-12-06, 08:51 AM | Rhim was born to the Limin'ae Tribe, a tribe of cannabalistic ghostiwse halflings who practised necrophilia. The tribe would slay their enemies and raise their corpses as undead tribesmen for their own tribe, if one of their own died, the same was done to them. In times when food was short, the tribe would eat the bodies of the dead (of their enemies aswell as their own) for sustenance. If one of the tribes undead tribesmen fell, they would be raised once more, there are some truly ancient undead numbering amoung the Limin'ae's undead ranks. Rhim was brought up in a time of trouble for the tribe, a nearby human village had built a temple to some unknown god that was interfearing with their undead. The oldest of undead tribesmen were falling apart, and the recently dead were unable to be raised at all. Rhim has been tasked with putting a stop to the interferance with the tribes undead, aswell as adding the humans townsfolk to their ranks as punishment. Rhim is very short, even by halfling standards, standing 2'4ft short. His messy red hair (that he hasnt cut since birth) drags along the ground behind him as he walks, small bones and skulls have been braided into the mess. Tattoos and scars have been etched across every inch of his body, giving him quite a feral appearance. The only article of clothing that he wears is a mask made from a human skull that was passed down to him from his father. Thats pretty much the basics of the character, its pretty sparse at the moment, but its just a base idea at the moment. Im thinking of playing him as a character who sticks to his tribal traditions... which are that base and horrific by normal standards that most people would love nothing more than to lock him up. Of course he is going to be chaotic evil, though he doesnt see what he and his tribe does, as *evil*. Some character quirk's (things he picked up from his tribe) are- -stares at the mouth of anybody who is talking to him. (he is used to using his telepathic ability) -marks the flesh, takes a trophie and eats the heart of anybody that he personally kills, -is constantly raising undead (even when it takes him over his limit, he lets the excess loose) -speaks of the dead as though they were still alive, very respectfull of them I dunno, as i said, its just a basic idea, but its one i want to run with, here are his stats str:12, dex:14, con:11, int:15, wis:15, cha:16 Feat: Tomb-Tainted Soul Any help with this would be great. | Ensjak06-12-06, 10:30 AM | I think the concept is very awesome and I wish I could see the character in action. I really don't know what kind of help you want or think you need, but then I'm still new to the CD boards. Just wanted to say I think it's one of the cooler concepts I've seen since I started coming to these boards a few months ago. |
| Pegasos98906-12-06, 10:51 AM | I don't know what to say of the cconcept. I like it. There is tiiiny (meaningless) thing tho... I don't think that destroyed undead can be animated again, except with raise undead(or resurrect undead or whatever) -spell from libris mortis, which is quite high level spell to raise a destroyed skeleton. Doesn't really matter, just pointed out. |
| Fithero06-12-06, 11:27 AM | Chiers guys. As for the help i was looking for, just any ideas you can come up with that you think would suit the character. Dread necro's get a free martial weapon prof, what do you think i should choose and why? Just story stuff like that I don't think that destroyed undead can be animated again, except with raise undead(or resurrect undead or whatever) I believe that to be true, ill make it that they repaired damaged undead tribesmen, those that were destroyed a second time were given a burial with honours. | Pegasos98906-12-06, 01:25 PM | I don't think that I know where dread necromancer is from. Is it divine or arcane? Anyways, it would seem quite logical to use a weapon of hs deity's choice. Boccob's favored weapon is quarterstaff, nerull's is scythe and libris mortis has deities with short sword, scimitar, dagger and mace. Anyways, which god does he worship? |
| Cifer06-12-06, 02:53 PM | I don't think that I know where dread necromancer is from. Is it divine or arcane? Heroes of Horror. It's an arcane necromancer. Dread necro's get a free martial weapon prof, what do you think i should choose and why? Just story stuff like that Well... the scythe would be pretty cliche. Why don't you declare something as the common tribal weapon? Also, think about the bow. Crossbows wouldn't really fit this character (too high-tech), but a bow would probably be ok, especially since the simple weapons already have some decent ones for melee. |
| Fithero06-12-06, 10:38 PM | gotta say that im gonna go with the bow, its very tribal, its ranged, and its a step away from the usual "halfling with a sling". Ive only got a 12 str, so should i take normal or comp? and should it be a short or long bow? Im wanting him to have a craft skill, one that no one else in the party will have, which shows how truly savage he is. I was thinking taxedermy/leatherwork/bonework for when he cleans the corpses off... or perhaps cooking for when he... you get the idea. Any ideas on some horrific craft skills for this little dood?
