Simply put, I am playing a githzenia (sp? I don't have my MM with me) Monk who recently came to the material plane by unknown means (actually I know, but my PC doesn't). This is my first time on the material plane and I have not heard much about it before arriving here, except that it exists and that it is very different from my own plane (the default: Limbo). For example, I arrived on top of a mountain and I found the concepts of extreme cold and altitude as well as flora to be unusual concepts that were hard for me to comprehend. Can anyone help me with any ideas on how to RP this character? I thnk you for any suggestions in advance.

Anybody at all? My session is tonight and I would love to have something to work with rather then just winging it. All help is appreciated and throughly compensated (with imaginary cookies). :D

Don't quite remember what kind of plane Limbo is...?

Do you mean githzerai (+6 dex or something like that)? Those pale-faced illithid-hunters? What about your alignment? Evil vs. good?

You should consider how you react with other races. I seem to remember that the giths were kinda proud of themselves. Maybe you are proud and think that other races are "lower beings"?

How brave are you? You might feel a little scared in a whole different world, but trying to hide it behind some fake reasons... What languages do you know? You might have some hard times trying to communicate with the natives of the Material Plane...

Could you give something more about your character and maybe I can figure something out!

Have your character spend a lot of time studying things. Githzerai aren't terribly talkative, so questions might be kept to a minimum.

Keep in mind that Limbo is the plane of chaos, so little things should be taken into account. For example, Githzerai have a natural fear of large, open spaces, because of the unpredictability of their home-plane. You could also be unusually suspicious of how things appear on the outside, very personally distant, things like that.
