Jezebell 05-21-05, 01:35 PM	I am in need of advice!!!!! I am creating a character for my buddies D and D. Well, I have never ran anything other than a High Elf Cleric. My DM informed the group that if we made up GREAT background stories that we would get a magical item/weapon from him. Can anyone offer me some help on a good story line?!?! I am really stumped. The only thing I really know about Rock Gnomes is that they love to play practicall jokes and are normally good characters. I would love any help! Thanks you all!!! :confused: :help: :thinks:

I have come up w/some of my characters background. My Gnome is going to be an orphan who entertains children for a living, traveling from town to town. I am in search for my true parents. I don't remember where I am from, and at first I doubted that they were alive, but I met an old friend of my family (another d and d character a friend is running). This character told me that my parents were alive and that he'll help me find them. Sound pretty good so far?!?!?!? :confused: :thinks: :help: :bigeyes:

Do you want to play somebody that stumbled into their abilities or somebody who was raised knowing exactally who and what they are and has no greater goal than to become the strongest at that? Do you want a motive of wealth? Love? Friendship? Adventure? Do you want a squeeky clean past or one with a bit of trouble in it? Would you like to be the bane of all gnolls? Or the bane of any creature who doesn't like their armor tinkered with and things going "pop crackel boom" in the night? What kind of personality can you keep in character the best? ...... is what I'm basically asking
