| Seraph Riel06-25-06, 12:52 PM | So one of the players in my group (I'm the DM) wants to create a druid (he's sacking his old character) and he displayed interest in either a gnome or halfling. I personally saw druids in FR mainly as humans, half-elves or elves. He wants help with his character background and I'm even having trouble coming up with something that fits the campaign and with the other members of the group. Right now the party is in Waterdeep but they generally travel around the North (Silverymoon) and the Western Heartlands. The groups consists of a CG sun elf wizard/incantrix, CN human rouge/spymaster and a NG human cleric of Lathander. Anybody have any ideas as to some suggestions I may give to this player. Thanks for the help |

Both live deep in the forests and are very secretive against outside races, including others of their race. Hope this helps some. Later |

Here, your player might have fun being originally from Latan and somehow found a way to be a druid. Since Latan is more associaed with tech (or the FR equivalent) than nature, this gives him potential roleplay opportunities of dealing with other gnomes he might meet in Waerdeep (as they are more likely going to be more in tune with Latan than with his druidic nature). It also means he cold roleplay with more established druidic circle as he is unusual or unique for almost any group. |
