Kee-oath “Elk-fighter” Veer

Youth

Kee-oath was born into the “tribe” of the “name” mountains, in the “name” region. His youth was typical for a Goliath; he spent most of his childhood in the care of the tent-mother, with the tribes other youth. Kee-oath showed at a young age his great strength in friendly wrestling matches with his peers. Showing this strength at the age of ten when he was first given a task by the Chieftain he was appointed to the hunting party. This was a great honor, and Kee-oath was determine to live up to the task he was given. While out on the hunt Kee-oath came upon an elk. He crept up on it with all the stealth he had, which was sadly not enough and the spooked creature began to run away. Without thinking and fearing his opportunity to impress his tribe was running away with the elk. Kee-oath jumped out at the beast and was able to tackle it. After a long hand-to-antler fight, Kee-oath brought down the creature. Once the elk was dead, Kee-oath let out a great scream in victory before he became to his wounds. When he woke several hours later, he was back at camp, the hunting party’s captain had witnessed the whole ordeal and when it was over carried young Kee-oath and his elk back to camp, when the tribe’s druid used his magic to heal Kee-oath’s wounds. That night while the tribe feasted over Kee-oath and the other hunters kills, the Chieftain stood up and told the tribe about young Kee-oath first hunt, and when he was done bestowed the Honorific of “Elk-fighter” onto Kee-oath, & several weeks later the tribe also gifted Elk-fighter with a dwarven made greatsword with an antler from his kill as its hilt.

Elk-Fighter at War

While Elk-fighter was a good hunter, his true skill came in war. The “Tribe” often found them-self at war with the small group of hill giants that also lived on their mountain. These giants from time to time would raid the goliath’s camp stealing food, wealth, and people for salves. When this happened, the tribe would gather together and attack which ever giant had raided them and retrieve whatever they could. While many goliaths where lost in these little wars, Elk-fighter show great skill in fighting. When Elk-fighter was around the age of 20 he along with 30 other goliath’s where going to attack a band of hill giants, and rescue 3 young goliath whom where captured by the giants a little under a week before. During the battle Elk-fighter was hit, by one of the giants. The massive hit shattered his left leg. Though the attack was a successes and Elk-hunter made it back to camp, his injury where to great to be healed by the tribe’s druid. Once that was know, the lamenter give Elk-hunter his dirge, and when the tribe broke camp he was to be left behind.

“Death” & rebirth

When Elk-hunter was left to die, he began to drag himself up the mountain, so when he did die he would be could to the gods. As he dragged his-self and began to fade in and out of consciousness, he unknowingly dragged himself into an adventures encampment.
A man in shiny armor but his hand on elk-fighter to stop him, Elk-fighter stopped tried to get his barring, but once he lost focus of this goal he became to exhaustion and fell unconscious. When he came to-again, he say the man in the shiny armor, who begin speaking to him in an unknown language. After a few minutes the man touched Elk-fighter and suddenly, the two had a common tongue. The man said his name was Fozan, and he and his companies, Regdar, Lidda, and Nebin have been looking for an old temple on this mountain but thus far have been unable to locate it. He then asked if Elk-fighter, knew where the temple was and if he could take them their. Elk-fighter knew where the old temple was, as all goliaths knew not to go there. He told Fozan what he knew of the temple, but that he was unable to take them their due to his leg. Fozan smiled and cast a spell (“regenerate”) on Elk-fighter which healed his leg. Grateful to Fozan, Elk-fighter leads them to the Temple and offers to help them get whatever it is inside that they came for. However the party, denies Elk-fighters help and tells him to return to his tribe. Elk-fighter does as he is told go to find where his tribe has set up camp. When Elk-fighter gets there he finds the camp in ruins with its tribe member’s bodies thrown about. While he searches the site he finds no survivors, and no bodies of who ever had done this. He does however find strange footprints that are native to this mountain and also finds a bazaar amulet in the hands of the tribe’s chieftain. He figures who ever killed the chieftain was wearing this amulet and that the chieftain was able to rip it off the attack before he died.
Without a tribe, Elk-hunter leaves his mountain home, and heads off to the world below.
