I just recently rolled up my characters abilities(1st character ever). DM said to reroll all 1's and I got 16,15,15,16,16,15. I think it is great rolls, but I dont want anyone thinking I made them up. We havent played yet and we rolled our characters on our time. Anyone ever get good rolls like this?

It'll even out a bit if you have racial adjustments.
Don't pay attention to anyone who thinks you faked it... They're just jealous. ^_^

This was the best I ever had... Too bad it was for an NPC in the game I'm running.

The DM rerolls ones? I doubt anyone will think you made it up, particularly if you're rolling 4d6, dropping the lowest, and re-rolling ones.

Stats are stats and those are nice stats. Who cares if people think you made them up, your DM doesn't. Now what are you going to make out of those monster rolls?

My best ever was 18 16 18 17 15 13

Most ridiculous cleric I have ever played.

Str:17
Dex:18
Con:16
Int:15
Wis:18
Cha:13
This was back in Second Edition when Cha meant nothing. These days they would have been arranged a bit differently. switching Dex and Cha.

I have played a Barbarian once who had
18 str
18 dex
18 con
10 int
9 wis
11 cha

Of course only half of these are good rolls, but they are exactly in the right place for a Barbarian. He was a brute.

The third character I rolled up had straight 18s

Rerolling 1s, that array isn't out in 'unbelievable' territory. We watched a guy roll 18 10 18 18 18 18 with that method at my gaming table. As has been stated, putting a 15 into a -2 stat makes those eminently manageable for most any DM. If you're REALLY afraid your DM will think you fudged it (which might indicate other issues, but anyway), a 1/2 Orc or a Shifter with the 15's put into all of the Racially adjusted stats makes it look quite normal, on paper.

Well, since your DM told you to roll them yourself, then he obviously doesn't think that you'll cheat. (Either that, or he doesn't give a crap either way.) In the end, if fudging the dice rolls is what it takes for you to have fun, I've found that most DMs don't care enough to argue. Hope this helps!:teach:
