| MisterMan12-30-05, 02:54 PM | Hello everybody! I'm in the middle of creating a Green Star Adept Character. He is 1st level Wizard, 6th level Fighter, 10th level Green Star Adept, and 1st level Knight Phantom. The Knight Phantom level is not functioning as a normal level. It merely reflects that he has trained to cast spells in armor, though he meets the requisites. This is because we don't play in the campaign it was designed to (Eberron?) and adjusted it a little. He is Human, and Chaotic Neutral. The level progression is something like all the fighter level first, a Wizard level, all Green Star Adept levels, and then the kind-of Knight Phantom level. This could be changed, if any of you comes up with some interresting ideas, though. The character would be something like a silent, thinking character, wearing an armor (glamered) which looks like a robe. He tries not to draw to much attention to himself, and hides his skin as much as possible. He started with the fighter levels, training as some of the other youth of the community, though he felt as if he was raised above them. He excelled quickly because of his amazing ability to learn. But it just wasn't enough for (no character name yet). He decided to leave town, and did so rather abrutly, not telling his parents anything about. At that time he was about 17 years old. He was a incredible strong fighter, but he had never learned to survive in the wilds. He almost starved to death, though fate alone saved him. He happened to pass by an infamous wizard, whom he applied for help. The wizard agreed, seeing the great potential in (no name yet). The wizard taught the man magic, and as expected, he excelled fast. He grew in power, and learned many spells (About level 6 Wizard) But again, this wasn't enough for him. He kept asking his mentor about the powers he wielded, but he never said much about them, and quickly changed the subject. One night the man couldn't take it any more. He wanted to unlock the same powers that his mentor wielded. He decided to steal his spellbook. He silently crept into his mentors room, searching for the spellbook. Suddenly, out of nowhere, his mentor appeared. His face was consorted in pure anger, and he unleashed spell after spell on his pupil. The pupil escaped the tower, though he was sorely weakened (a lot of negative levels, or something like that). He searched for a person who could cure him, and finally found one. He asked for help, and payed with a stolen scroll from his masters tower. The person (a cleric of some evil/neutral deity) cured some of the negative levels, but some of them he couldn't remove (These had resulted in actual character drain, making him only 1st level Wizard). One day he sees the "Green Star" and he takes it as a sign from the gods. He sets out to understand the star, and eventually stumbles upon a piece. Following an old recipe, he grinds the stone, mix it with and arcane potion, and drinks it. He begins to transform, and searches for more "Starmetal". He finds it, and become more powerful. He slowly unlock the old, arcane powers he knew, as well as training with the sword. He also learns to fight while wearing armour. Now, I'm looking for some ideas. 1. I had thought of making this character become Chaotic Evil when he studies at the mage. The mage is Chaotic evil himself, and the character learns from it. But then i need a way of making him Chatic Neutral again, and I'm kinda out of ideas. I had thought of maybe having him murdering hid parents, and after the bloodshed, realize how little was gained in murdering innocent. So, if anybody have some ideas for a way for gim to turn good, i would love to hear it. 2. I was thinking of making the character a little different than the one explained in Complete Arcane. He should use another stone than the green starmetal, maybe jet, ruby, sapphire. Looking for an interesting mineral he could use insted of starmetal. 3. A way to humble the character and make him change. In the start he feels better than everybody else, but in the end, level 18, he is silent, and very deep-thinking. How could i put this change into my history. Maybe something combined with question 1.? Hope that somebody has any ideas, i would reeally appreciate them! Thanks! |
