| Whyldman06-23-04, 02:31 AM | I have recently started playing in a campaign with a half-orc barbarian. My goal is to become the ultimate protector of nature. I want to be a tidal wave in combat, but at the same time I want to have a connection with nature. I plan to multiclass with either druid or cleric, as I have decent wisdom. I plan to use spells to either augment my fighting and healing when it is necessary. Do you guys think a cleric or a druid would work best to be the guardian of nature. And on a side note, would my weapon proficiencies be restricted by a druids weapon proficiencies? |

However, I would consider Cleric, with an appropriate god and domains, as being a potentially better choice. A druid is in a way associated with an order or society. To multi-class into that, implies connecting with and then joining this order - be it highly structured or somewhat loose. This could be difficult to work into the story. A cleric would also present these difficulties, but here it is simply a question of the cleric getting in touch with the deity. Once established, it may be easier to the press on independently, noting that some forms of worship and devotion can be very personal, and not of the "preaching" sort. If you are looking for a god, I'd recommend: Obad-Hai, taking the domains Animal and Plant. |
