I have a half orc barbarian level 4. He has a basic background. Such as hating his family. They were jealous of him, because he was better than they were. He was trained as a barbarian by his clan, but he chose to be good instead of evil. I need a bit of help to fix this up a bit, because that is a bit rough around the edges and lacking in detail. if anyone is interested help me out, but if not I understand. :D :mymy:

First of all, no such thing as a "basic background," (or you shouldn't think like that. Every character, every half-orc barbarian in fact, should be different or interesting in some way or another.])
Here are some notes and questions to ask about your character that'll help in giving your barbarian some detail:
The biggest thing I got is the idea that he's "better" than his clan. Does he think so? If so, why? If not, why not? He chose to be Chaotic Good. Why? It's much easier to be evil. What made him desire to help out others, instead of himself? Why does he hate his family? What did they do to him? Or what did they do to someone else?
Answer a few of these and you can get a good idea (or a start of one.)

I'm happy you didn't include in your background that you were born from a rape between your human mother and orc father, this one is becoming a classic. You could have been born from two half-orc parents, loving each other. Why would you hate them? Any reason is good, beginning with adolescence crisis! Perhaps he hates them for what they are, and what he is. Could he has been rejected by some classmates, or beautilful girl or, whoever-he-wishes-to-join because he's an half-orc?
